WWE Live on Tour

WWE Live is the untelevised "house show" portion of professional wrestling. Don't go to a house show expecting to see something like a Raw or SmackDown Live event. There's no TV broadcast, which means there are no commercial breaks, which means the action runs bell to bell. Storylines don't advance during a WWE Live show — WWE saves that stuff for TV — but there's plenty of great wrestling to watch. The promotion's stars often use house shows as a testing ground for new moves and gimmicks.

Once upon a time, house shows were the centerpieces of the wrestling schedule and the TV shows existed mainly to promote the live events. All of that changed with the explosion of television wrestling in the 1990s.

Even without any significant plot developments, house shows have produced their share of drama over the years. Titles rarely change hands at live events, but at a 1994 show, Diesel snatched the WWF championship belt from Bob Backlund, and in 1992 The Mountie defeated Bret Harte to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Wrestling fans will remember The Kliq's infamous MSG "Curtain Call," which happened during a live event in May 1996 at Madison Square Garden. The Kliq was a backstage group that included some of the most prominent and influential names in wrestling: Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Triple H and Sean Waltman. In April of that year, Hall and Nash had signed deals with a rival promotion, WCW. The MSG house event was their last contracted show for what was then known as WWF. Nash and Triple H were wrestling as heels that night, and Michaels and Hall were the good guys. After a steel cage match, all four wrestlers group-hugged in the ring, then faced the crowd and raised their arms together — good guys joining the heels to say goodbye. While the show wasn't televised, a couple of fans had taped footage on a camcorder that they'd smuggled into the arena. Word quickly got out that the Kliq had broken kayfabe — the all-important illusion that the rivalries between wrestlers are real — and thus a scandal was born.

    WWE Live Honolulu

by Hawaiiangrl on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

This has become a yearly event that nearly the whole island looks forward to. We are so grateful that WWE has decided to stop here. My family are big wrestling fans and just love going to this event! Blaisdell has streamlined their admittance procedures so the line moves pretty quick now. WWE puts on an awesome show that’s not to be missed.

    Solid show

by Kaje on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Strong overall matches. High energy. Crowd involvement. Just a totally fun experience. I’m glad I made the time to go. First time going in many years. I like the addition of the big screen in the Arena as it adds more of a feel of the tv shows. WWE please bring NXT here!!

    Fabulous entertainment

    by 808Sizzle on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Thanks to Ticketmaster for the presale on the WWE Live tickets allowed me to purchase with no issues online. My family and I enjoyed the show especially for an old venue like Blaisdell Arena. My wish is that the WWE would come often to Hawaii like 2-3 times in a year, Hawaii fans love wrestling and to see some of top stars like Roman Reign, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Kofi Kingston and Bayley to name a few come to the islands and put on a first class show!

    Great show!

by Liz on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

All what I expected in a wrestling event! Except there were no elaborate openings, pyrotechnics, or lighting on wrestlers entrance! Why are there no focus on wrestlers entrance?

    Bad seats

by OS on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I did the presale and it gave me floor seats like the last 2 times WWE came, but it was section CC which is the corner of the ring. My view is obstructed by the ring post. I tried to stand up to see but Blaisdell security kept making me sit down, like 4 times. What a waste of money.

The show was great! Venue needs some work

by Mfg on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The food lines were ridiculously long and you had to stand in it just to get water/drinks. They need to make another line somewhere for drinks. Also the need parking attendants in the parking structure to assist in getting everyone out in a timely matter as it was at a standstill. I had to personally go out to assist people to go the right way down the Ramps.

    The seating sucked

    by A. O. on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Pros -mobile tickets -show was good -air conditioning throughout the arena Cons -lines for food were way too long -seats were tiny, so little leg room that people had to climb up onto their seats to let someone in or out of the seat row. The lady sitting next to me dropped all of her food and drinks onto the people in front of us trying to get around the people in our row to get to her seat. I paid almost $100 and i was so uncomfortable in my seat the entire time

    It was pretty cool!!

    by R. G. on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

My kids, wife and I enjoyed the event. It was cool and our seats were pretty close. The arena is a bit run down and the spacing between seats was very narrow.

    Awesome

    by D. L. on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I had an awesome time. The event was exciting and fun. The only thing I wish the event had was another area selling merchandise. Lines were too long.

    WWE Smackdown Honolulu 2019

by The Showstopper on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

This event was as always, off the charts. There were some matches, I.e. the street fight could’ve been more extreme. But overall, the event was a hit. They should allow some autographing session afterwards. But for safety reasons and timing schedules, I understand why they don’t. But truthfully, the WWE and it’s superstars never disappoint as usual. Always a pleasure to have the WWE in Hawaii.

It was a very enjoyable event, enjoyed it.

    by Joe55 on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The lines at the gates moved smoothly, the vendor booths could have been more organized. Two booths for a sold out arena was not enough but it went ok. Most of the security guards were courteous but one big security guard was more of a bully and he called people names, cursed at them and as a person who owns his own business, this security guard was highly unprofessional. As for the event, it was my first WWE event and it was enjoyable. The last time i went to one was in the 70's in Columbus Georgia. I would go again if the event returns. I would really check the security guard better.

    Wwe honolulu

    by K. V. on 9/25/19Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The merchandise and food stations were a hot mess and could have used better lines people were just cutting and not paying attention to handicap people who also wanted merchandise. It would have been cool to see the entertainers before the event for pictures like you see them do in the mainland.

    Fun Show

by Mtlmichael on 9/4/19CHI Health Center Omaha - Omaha

Fun Show. Good seats and good view of the ring. saw some long time favorites like Sheamus and Shelton Benjamin and newer favorites like Asuka, and The Man Becky Lynch. Not as fun as a televised event but its still a great time especially for younger fans

    Awesome

    by R. W. on 8/20/19Alerus Center - Grand Forks

It was as awesome as the last time they were here. The only thing we missing was the commentators. Audio could have been better. Too much echoing when Byran Saxton was talking .

    by M. S. on 8/20/19Alerus Center - Grand Forks

We were ringside and had an absolute BLAST!! Being up close and seeing it live was a great time! This was our third live event and was by far the most fun......being ringside is the way to experience this event! Also a big thank you to the wrestlers for their interaction with the crowd!!
