About

Rondell Sheridan on Tour

As energetic as he is engaging, comedian Rondell Sheridan has been a favorite of audiences for more than three decades. This seasoned funnyman brings the same easy charm to stages as he did when he was one of TV's most lovable dads on That's So Raven. Fans can catch him in venues all over America.

Rondell Sheridan Background

Growing up in a big household in Chicago, Rondell Sheridan learned at an early age how to use humor to carve out a place among his older siblings. It wasn't long before he was making his first foray onto the stage in the summer of 1982.

After graduating from Marquette University, he went to New York to break into the comedy world, a goal he achieved not long after he made his first appearance at a West Village club. The attention he gained as a regular at the New York Improv led to appearances on The Tonight Show (both with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno) and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He also became a familiar sight on such shows as The Arsenio Hall Show and Hollywood Squares.

Of course, TV audiences — especially those of a certain age — know Sheridan best for his role as Raven's chef dad Victor on the long-running Disney Channel family hit That's So Raven and its popular spin-off series Cory in the House. Besides being the kind of father everyone wished they had, the role gave Sheridan the chance to demonstrate his easygoing charm and quick wit. His success in the realm of family-friendly TV also led to opportunities for him to write and direct his own films for John D'Aquino's Young Actors Studios.

As Sheridan has continued to demonstrate in his live comedy performances all over America and his stand-up sets on programs like The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Comics Unleashed, he's always had many more things to say to audiences besides Victor's catchphrase of "Kapowie!" His 2012 comedy album A Banana and a Gun?! is an energetic showcase of the highly skilled but uniquely affable style he's developed over 30 years in the game. It's also a wild introduction to his sometimes risqué take on everything from the complexities of women's hair braids to the differences between newlyweds and long-married couples, and beach holidays that go off the rails in the most hilarious ways.

We just signed up to see Rondell basically just to get out. We were crying laughing at his set. The stories and on the fly jokes were perfect. No complaints other than wish it was longer
