This was my second time seeing Arj, and he did not disappoint. His delivery reminds me of Norm MacDonald, one of my favorite comics of all time. He also seems kind and friendly. I spoke to him briefly after the show and he seemed appreciative of his fans.
Thoroughly enjoyable! Had seen him before and was glad to return.
He's a pro. Great show. Intimate venue. Loved the way he handled a noisey patron.
Worth every penny to see Arj Barker! Cobbs is the best.
Arg was great. The crowd was kinda dead but he worked through it. Great comedian. Would see him again.
Opening act was okay. Second act was awful. Bad material, bad delivery, unengaging personality, As far as Arj Barker.....I'd seen him before and his act was crisp and funny and very original. This time? The exact opposite. It didn't take long to see (front row seats) that he was high. Very high. He seemed to lose his place numerous times, stumbled over words and had painfully long stretches between punch lines. Bad night all around.
Arj has been one on my favorite comedians from the Bay Area for years. He really hits the spot with his anecdotal stores about everyday life. We all have good and bad days, and to be honest, Arj was not on top of his game on Saturday night. He did have us rolling a few times but was spotty. He was a bit reflective and serious. These are strange times regarding the world and our country, and maybe his delivery was reflective of that. At any rate, I will go see him again next time he is around and I'm sure he will please.
I had never heard of Arj, but my son recommended him. He did a top notch performance. A very funny guy! We loved it!
Arj was on point! On the last night of his tour, Arj held his own and showed why he was the headliner. His openers were competent but Arj demonstrated the wit and unique viewpoint that have made him such a draw overseas. I hope he gets the same attention stateside, he is a comic worth hearing, there's no one else quite like him.
Arj and the opening comedians were great! Arj is hilarious and has a broad appeal. Nothing raunchy or offensive which was great. It was cool to see him interact a lot with the fans after the show. Very very funny and Cobbs comedy club was a cool, comfortable and interactive venue. Drinks were good and service was fast. Overall awesome experience.
