Advertised: The inaugural All American Tennis Cup will feature 10 Top American Male Players. None of the players pictured or shown on TV advertisements played. These were top players. Very disappointed as the players were not worth the money we paid.
The staff were wonderful! They helped me with everything. I was in town only for the day of the event, so they offered to help me with my luggage, because of the bag policy of the coliseum… Thank you!
The tennis was amazing and there really is no bad seat in Freeman Coliseum! They are a little cramped, but the view even from the cheap seats are great. They could have filled the stadium more if the seats were a little cheaper, but I would go again.
This was a great event in a wonderful venue. Austin will have a hard time living up to Freeman in San Antonio. Ours were not the most expensive seats, yet we could see everything, hear everything; intimate venue. Ushers, staff people at Freeman most helpful and attentive. After matches started were given the opportunity to move down to what was supposed to be better seats, but we had such a great view we did not. Would have enjoyed seeing more of the "bigger" pros, but truly enjoyed the up and comers. It appeared the players were enjoying themselves, which translates to fun for the fans.
Really enjoyed the All America Cup. Great chance for people to see and get to know the top American male players on the ATP tour. Overall, the tennis was very high quality. It is great to finally see more professional tennis events being played in Texas. Have been to the Laver Cup and this compares favorably at a more reasonable price. Freeman Coliseum was a nice accessible and intimate venue with good seating all over. The only thing they need to consider is more room between the baselines/sidelines and barriers for the players to be able to cover the court. Will definitely be back if they have it next year.
This event was well organized, the seating had great views and the refreshments were on point!
We went to two session and never got to see a doubles match. Better scheduling for that would be appreciated. Too many of the top Americans were not playing Day 1 & 2. We very much enjoyed Ryan Harrison and Marcos Giron on court. Great tennis for the fans. Need to work on the availability of food and drinks between sessions. Many people did double sessions and were not able to get a snack to hold them over because everything shut down between sessions. Need to address that. It was a great venue for tennis--great watching and great fan engagement.
They advertised players such as Francis Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz and John Isner, but only Isner was present on the last day which I did not attend. False advertising. I did enjoy watching the matches I attended, but I am a fan of tennis. When they come back, I will wait until they post the schedule before buying a ticket.
It was enjoyable to watch some live tennis but sad to see the number of empty seats. Would have been great if they released those seats to get more attendance and an overall more excitement for the sport.
We had tickets to both sessions Friday and both sessions Saturday. While we enjoyed the amazing tennis, Five of the advertised/featured/pictured players did. It Play! Isner, Tiafoe, Fritz, Brooksby and Wolfe did not play! I traveled to San Antonio for this event, paid for 2 nights in hotel, and bought 4 sessions of tennis and four of those players didn’t show up at all for the tournament (Isner played on Sunday).
