The music of Adult., a creative fusion of punk attitude and synthesizer-heavy electronica, first entranced listeners in Detroit's music scene of the late '90s. Marked by drum-machine beats, old-school analog sounds and playful lyrics, Adult. provide a unique spin on modern electronica. Initially a duo made up of Adam Le Miller and Nicola Kuperus, Adult. released a few well-received EPs before their first full-length album, Anxiety Always, appeared in 2003, which contained such memorable, dance-friendly tracks as "Kick in the Shin" and "Shake Your Head." Their second album, Gimmie Trouble, followed in 2005 and featured a third member--guitarist Sam Consiglio. Through their ground-breaking, genre-busting music, Adult. have found a welcome home among electronica enthusiasts as well as fans of indie rock, punk and ‘80s-style new wave.
