World of Dance on Tour

A celebration of NBC's hit reality competition World of Dance, the tour of the same name commemorates each season with a showcase of contestants from that year. Appearing onstage alongside heavy hitters in dance-competition circles, the high-energy show gives World of Dance contestants the opportunity to show audiences why they were selected to compete on network TV. The routines, style and choreography will leave you breathless — and excited about the next season's raw talent.

World of Dance Background

Since 2008, the World of Dance enterprise has been the world's premier source for dance entertainment, holding competitions around the globe that showcase talented dancers of all ages. In 2017, NBC premiered the Jennifer Lopez–hosted reality competition World of Dance, which pits juniors (dancers under 17), soloists and teams against each other as they vie for a million-dollar prize. A three-person judge/mentor panel, on which Lopez is joined by R&B singer Ne-Yo and Dancing With the Stars hoofer Derek Hough, scores each competitor as they move in sync to modern hits and classic floor-fillers. Alums of the show have competed on other televised dance competitions like So You Think You Can Dance? and America's Best Dance Crew, while first-season winners Larry and Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois, collectively known as Les Twins, brought their new style hip-hop moves to the stage alongside Beyoncé before and after competing on the show. Other dancers made appearances on Lopez's 2019 It's My Party tour, surprising audiences with their sleek choreography.

World of Dance embarked on its first tour in 2017, after the show's first season lit up the ratings books. Since then, stars from each season have hit the road after the winners' crowning, performing intricate, high-energy routines that dazzle audiences with their innovation and unparalleled talent. World of Dance looks spectacular on television, but live, it truly comes into its own.

    The Best Invite

    by Travis Scott on 4/18/22

Calling all dancers, this area is the largest city in America. Free from press and hatred therefore, I am inviting it to be set up here. Thank you -LA

    Too short

by SlightFan on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

The show was expected to be 2 hours. It had dancing for 40 min, 20 min intermission, and 35 ish of more dancing. For what there was of it we liked the show, but felt it needed to be longer, maybe more groups dancing

    Wonderful performance

by Margaret on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

First time at the Orpheum Theater, amazing location , small and perfect for this kind of entertainment. The performances were unbelievable , full of energy and perfect, the music and dancers out of this world. A must see show. We will be there again next year

Very Disappointing! More Like a High School Production

    by N. n. on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I have never been more disappointed with a show and as a fan I feel like we were taken advantage of and mislead. There were only three (3) acts who performed pretty much the same types of dance over and over again and even then, the two groups were not the full groups but a few members. They just did the dances they did on TV, but not quite as well. The stage had nothing but 2 screens in the back, the music was unusually high and the show was very short. The advertising for this show was very misleading. It was more like a bad high school production than a professional production sponsored by WOD and NBC or JLO. Don't waste your time and money on any future tours.

    World of Dance live tour

by Abbie on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

It was very disappointing show, although the performers were amazing, the lineup was not, one would think that more participants from the 3rd season would have performed, probably the last time going to see this. Not worth the money

    Great show with amazing dancers

    by V. K. on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

We really enjoyed seeing The Kings, Unity LA, and Luca & Jenna. They certainly gave us a good show. I would have preferred to have seen more acts from the TV show - I didn't realize that there was only going to be 3 acts.

    Venue sound needs upgrading

by Over 50 on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Dancers wonderful. Needed a MC so poor things could catch their breath. Venue sound system poor so blasting the music made it worse and distracted from the talent. That was a shame. Went last year at different venue. Won’t be going back. (American Idol toor also was there and venue had stage problems (light or sound). Don’t recall.

    Incredible Show

by IzzoMomma on 11/27/19Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

I can’t even begin to express how amazing the show was. I took my daughter for her 10th bday because we watch the show together. We were both in such awe of the dancers; they were truly incredible. I would see the show again if I could. We did the VIP meet and great. The dancers were very sweet, but it was so quick that I don’t know if I would pay the money to do that again. But overall, my daughter kept saying it was the best night of her life.

    Disappointed

by Kiki on 11/26/19Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed because I was under the impression that it was a tour of different dancers that won in the past seasons...not just 3 groups. I was looking forward to seeing Hip Hop dancers and seen NONE...I would NOT have gotten my tickets if I would have known who was performing..Although..I did enjoy watching The Kings..it seemed as though I was watching the same dance over and over again....

    A little disappointed

by L. M. on 11/26/19Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

Was a little disappointed that only 3 of the competitors were performing on the tour. Loved seeing the Kings, Unity LA and Luca & Jenalyn - but expected to see more of the competitors instead of several dances from the only 3 groups.
