So much for a once in a lifetime experience

by fried42 on 11/17/23Lindner Family Tennis Center - Mason

I got these tickets as a 30th birthday present to see Serena Williams in one of her last ever tournaments. As she had announced her career coming to a close after the US Open, the tickets for that event were impossibly expensive, especially when adding in the travel/stay in NYC. But living close to Cincinnati, this was doable. Then the night before the match, they announced that they were moving Serena's match. My mom and I had already taken off work as much as we could, so staying an additional night just wasn't possible. Especially since now the tickets for that session had also gone way up in price. I understand the injury and not wanting to lose your star attraction for the tournament, but something should've been done to try to accommodate or compensate those of us that bought tickets to that first night session. Because I feel I can confidently say that at least 40% of that crowd wouldn't have been there that night if we didn't think that was going to be Serena's session. I saw so many families that night that brought their young girls to see Serena in a once in a lifetime match, the last time they would be able to see this legend on the court. A lot of people, myself included, can't afford to buy multiple sessions, especially families that are buying 4+ tickets. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the way the tournament handled this situation.

    VIP

by Chris on 9/5/23Lindner Family Tennis Center - Mason

This tournament can never leave Cincinnati, between the volunteers the beautiful atmosphere and the warmth of Cincinnati is why people come to the tournaments that is the long running tournament in United States. How anyone got the right to move the tournament is beyond me. If it is moved to Charlotte, I will attend the U.S. Open in New York. Charlotte is too hot and limited on things to do.

    10 year attendee

I have attended this event for 10 years. I liked the viewing changes but miss Silver Lady and small kiosk with tennis apparel. Very organized! Great volunteers!

Great Tennis Tournament BUT THEY’VE SCREWED UP PARKING

    by LudwigDerAlte on 8/22/23

This is our favorite tennis tournament and we’ve attended almost all the major US tournaments (Miami for 15 straight years). Almost every top player participates. We easily find front row seats for super matches on the Grandstand or other outer courts for Rounds 1-4. The facility is top notch and compact. Stadium is nice but we hardly use it since quality seats are outside our retiree budget. HOWEVER - this year, for the first time in 15 years, early arrivals (us) were sent to overflow parking in what seemed like Dayton, OH. Previously we were allowed to park about 1/4 mile from the facility. NOT AT ALL APPRECIATIVE OF LOYAL FANS.

    Two days of tennis

    by Curt on 8/22/23

We got to the event before 10 am both days we had tickets. Tuesday we got to park pretty close to the gate but on day 2 we had to park way north in the boonies but the shuttle golf carts made getting to the gate quite easy. Once inside the venue it is very relaxing as all the workers and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. Food and beverages are quite pricey but that's to be expected. This is about the 20th time we've attended this tournament.

    Great Event

    by Beth on 8/21/23

So close to the action!!! Only negative was you can't bring your own water bottle with ice water or other liquid, so got dehydrated and had heat issues.

    So much fun!

    by gham on 8/21/23

I had the best time at the Western and Southern. The level of play is top tier. The grounds are gorgeous and the organization does a great job of keeping things organized and flowing well. We found parking so easily. Everything was perfect. Cincinnati did a great job of hosting

A great venue to see tennis

    by Keeks on 8/20/23

We had an amazing time getting up close with some of our favorite players. The staff go out of their way to help and make things seamless for guests. Parking is convenient with golf cart shuttles to the tennis center. Great food (although rather pricey), and plenty of seating in the central area. Especially enjoyed the Adirondack chairs around the large screens showing the top matches.
