by J. T. on 9/1/23I took my grandpa and we both had a blast. He hadn’t been to a game in years so I took him. Especially since he loves the bulldogs so much!

University of Georgia Bulldogs Football History
The Georgia Bulldogs have cemented themselves as one of college football's modern elite programs after winning back-to-back CFP National Championship games in 2022 and 2023. In the latter matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs, the reigning champs set the record for largest margin of victory in a Division I bowl game with a final score of 65-7.
Among Georgia’s distinguished alumni are head coach Pop Warner, one of the fathers of modern football, as well as Herschel Walker, one of the most exciting players the college game has ever seen. Between four national championships and 16 Conference titles, some great football has gone down over the years at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs' high point was almost certainly the three seasons of the Walker era, from 1980 to 1982. As a freshman in 1980, Walker started as the team's third-string running back. By the end of the season, he'd racked up four 200-yard rushing games, and Georgia had gone undefeated as the consensus national champion. Over the next two seasons, Georgia, then coached by the legendary Vince Dooley, won 21 games and lost only three. The current Bulldogs team is poised to surpass Walker’s teams, as they have gone 29-1 since the start of the 2021 season, winning back-to-back championships.

The Dawgs play in Athens, Georgia at Sanford Stadium, which opened in 1929. Private bushes encircle the field, giving rise to the saying that, at Sanford, games are played "between the hedges." The mascot Uga, pronounced "ugg-uh," is an English bulldog that wears a spiked collar and jersey. Georgia's long-standing gameday traditions include the "Glory, Glory" rally song, the pre-game performance by the school's Redcoat Band of the "Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation" and the ringing of the Chapel bell after every victory.
The University of Georgia Bulldogs’ 2023 regular season kicks off in September at home as the Bulldogs face off against the University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks. Georgia will play their final game of the regular season at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia against in-state rivals the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

My 8th liberty bowl in a row. Better each year..:)
The arena is a nice little arena. The area around the arena is a school and some sketchy neighborhoods but the arena, getting in and getting out were pretty easy. The Bulldogs won, so...
