    Wonderful

by LNRBRY on 9/20/19Mezzanine - San Francisco

This was our first time to this venue. We had read the dress code prior to arrival and dressed accordingly. The security staff were so polite, and other staff equally so. The venue may seem small, but is perfect for more intimate shows - you really get to see the performer up close. The bars are great, the bathroom adequate for the size of the venue, and the outside smoking area delightful! We will be looking for more shows there...…..

The Selecter & Rhoda Dakar @ Gramercy Theatre 9/11/19

by Stevie on 9/14/19Gramercy Theatre - New York

Okay, where to start? The Selecter sounded amazing. There were some sad & serious lyrics, but only good vibes all around. Instead of leaving between the main set and encore, Pauline & Gaps left the stage to Rhoda Dakar, who sang Let's Do Rocksteady & Ruder Than You with the band. After skanking my head off to Carry Go Bring Come, and Too Much Pressure/Pressure Drop, I figured that was the end of the show. What more could you want? I thought. I was not prepared for their tribute to the first responders of the 9/11 attacks. I cried. Then I danced some more.

    Pauline Black rules

by VLRSkaFan on 9/25/13Gramercy Theatre - New York

Good mix of old and new, good energy, and good older crowd. I was glad to see a lot of people still know how to s-k-a-n-k.
