The Havana Cuba All-Stars in Concert
The globally renowned and time-honored music of Cuba is exemplified in the live performances of the Havana Cuba All-Stars - a quintessential jaunty dozen whose sonic delivery harks back to Cuba's golden age of music of the 1940s. With their 2019 North American tour, the aptly titled Asere! (Cuban slang for "friendship"), the vivacious pack of old souls is set to celebrate the friendship between the two countries.
The enthusiastic band will be joined onstage by three of the country's most distinguished dance troupes, and audiences too will surely be inspired to swing along to the foot-workings of Cuban danzón, mambo, cha-cha-chá, and salsa.

The jubilant spirit of Cuba is alive and well in the craft of the Havana Cuba All-Stars, a robust 12-member ensemble that beguilingly celebrates the diverse music of the Caribbean island. With a vibrant horn section, soaring vocals, rumba and guaguancó, and acrobatic percussions built for hip-swiveling, the veteran Cuban musicians have been inspiring dance-floor action since 2016.
Their heady repertoire features Euro and Afro-Caribbean concoctions, consisting mostly of original songs and a handful of Cuban classic covers. The energetic All-Stars boast an eclectic repertoire, tinkering in styles from Cuban rumba to son cubano to salsa and cha-cha-chá, while always staying true to tradition. They've gotten plenty of praise from outlets like the Kansas City Star, The Daily Campus, and Space Coast Daily for their imaginative songwriting and exuberant live performances.
The band was amazing one of the best bands Ive heard live. The energy was out of this world would definitely watch again. They also had dancers which took things to another level. These guys are the greatest musicians in Cuba and they really sound like it. Would definitely watch again

The concert was fantastic! The musicians and the dancers were very skilled. The variety of music styles kept the audience interest. I only wished I knew the Spanish language, so I could have understood the lyrics better.
What a great afternoon at the American Theater with Havana Cuba All-Stars. I am a longtime lover of Cuban music and this great band kept me hopping in my seat. There is absolutely no way to sit still when listening to Cuban music....it reaches deep into the soul with its native and African-influenced rhythms. We had a ball!
But this type of event should have a dance floor. Latin people can not stay still with that rhythm...

I was honored to hear and see HCAllstars perform in Berkeley CA last night, It was an amazing experience, listening and watching these 11 musicians perform their music. The sound was fantastic, loved their dancing on stage, voices crisp and beautiful. Thank you for a lovely night and for coming to the USA.
We got to spend the evening with 11 wonderfully talented musicians! The horn section was precise and bright, the rhythm section included everyone in the band, the drumming was exceptional and the lead singers were a pleasure to listen too. The Lincoln Theater in Columbus has a special feel, classy and cool. it is a wide venue with a short depth so there are no bad seats in the house. Good acoustics too. This house can hang with it's three beautiful sisters Ohio, Place and Southern. It is amazing that Columbus has these treasures!
One of the most unique and enjoyable shows I've ever seen. If this group doesn't get your booty swaying, nothing will. They truly looked to be thoroughly enjoying their chance to share their music with people in the US. The pure energy they put forth was contagious. I strongly recommend that you have an open mind to experience a very unique sound.
