    Fun night of music

    by S. on 1/15/19Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

When I purchased the tickets, I thought I was only going to see Bonnie Raitt. It was not until a couple of days before the performance but I realize this was a fundraiser for Seva.org, A wonderful nonprofit helping people with controllable blindness. The performers were all there to give their best to the audience. It was an enjoyable exchange of music and energy between the two.

    Wonderful show

by Paul on 1/15/19Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Just about everything, except the electronic chant, which was FAR too loud and too long, was wonderful. The energy and the performances were incredible. The facility is unmatched in its beauty. Jackson Browne asked at one point if it was too loud (he obviously thought it was) and he was right. Too loud and the bass was too dominant. May be the accounstics where we were sitting (in the balcony), but that would be my only complaint. I would never have guessed that I'd be happy to sit for 4 hours, but with that line-up, it was a pleasure.

    Awesome ... Of Course

by LA Dead Dude on 1/15/19Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

The show is exactly what we've come to expect from SEVA benefits ... awesome, soulful performances. Joan Osborn's set of Dylan tunes was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. Bonnie stole the show, as she's known to do. Jackson and his band were solid. Micky Hart's performance was powerful but confused many in the audience, who didn't know who he was or "got" what he was doing. Lots of good, interesting moments ... especially Bob Weir coming out for a duet with Joan ... Peggy O. Just awesome.
