About

Shen Yun Performing Arts is a triumph of collaboration, bringing together over a hundred of the world's foremost classically trained Chinese dancers, choreographers, musicians, and vocalists. It also boasts the world's only full orchestra that embraces both Western and Chinese instruments as its permanent members.

Based in New York, Shen Yun Performing Arts is distinguished by its conscious effort to remain independent of China's communist regime, which has abused and impoverished the arts for decades. It is proud to thus include members who practice Falun Gong. The company aspires to create original performances that not only entertain, but also more deeply educate, enrich, and inspire. The company's rich repertory is drawn from the pages of history, universal themes, and the world around us. All choreography and music performed are original.

    Pure perfection

by Bethany on 4/12/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Words cannot explain how wonderful this show is. We were mesmerized by the colors and movement of very dance. It s a very long show so it may be difficult for little ones to sit for that long by but it really is captivating.. And he story being told is a beautiful history of the love and pain of many lives in China. I’m so happy. We were able to see it. Highly recommend this show to everyone.

    Not recommended

by Me on 4/11/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Just a couple of good (customs and dances) acts. Lots of repetition. Signs displayed during the acts are not in English (not cool at all) and waaaaay to many religious references. Musicians and orchestra are pretty good. The tenors leave a lot to be desired.

It was very engaging and creative.

by PW on 4/10/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

I took my granddaughter to celebrate her 6th birthday. She loves dance and sat on the edge of her seat for much of the performance. It was very entertaining and engaging. It was a memorable and great birthday gift.

    Religious propaganda

    by Bor-ing on 4/10/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Show could have been half as long as it was . Female routines were good/decent. Solo artists were cringeworthy. Advertise as a religious program or take it out of the program.
