    Fun Fun Fun

by Dsav619 on 5/17/22Tony Gwynn Stadium - San Diego

The whole experience was great!!!. It was my family’s first time attending a game at SDSU. My son is 8 and plays little league baseball. I thought this would be a fun thing for him. He absolutely loved it. The kids chasing foul balls, being able to have really good seats and just the whole environment was great for kids. It was an afternoon game so he got to experience his first game at night with the lights on. From my perspective experience was awesome as well. Easy parking, great prices for the tickets and the concession options were perfect. We will be attending a lot more Aztec baseball games in the future. Go Aztecs

It was a convenient little ballpark in the middle of campus, comfy seating, clean bathrooms, pleasing enough to the eye

    NO assigned seats

by jcsandiego on 5/26/18Tony Quinn stadium - San Diego

We were at Tony Quinn Stadium last night from 3 pm until the game was over. We sat in the 2nd row right behind home plate. At about 7 pm some people showed up to sit in our row claiming that we were in their "assigned" seats. According to this website (which I confirmed with the ushers at the game) there are no assigned seats during baseball games. Rather than cause a scene we got up and decided to let the ushers handle the matter. However, the ushers were unable to force the newcomers to move. Instead they asked that we sit somewhere else. When I was hesitant to do so, they asked a different nice couple (who had also been there for hours and hours) to move which they did and we were able to reclaim our seats. However, the" late arrivers" were able to stay in the remainder of the 2nd row behind home plate after having arrived late. Either there are assigned seats, or there aren't! I asked the security guy to step in but he wouldn't do it. He said it was up to the ushers to enforce the rule and all the ushers were very nice young college girls not willing to make a scene with the interlopers. And they not only came late to the game, but they left early in an extra inning game! Phooey on you!

    Great Team

by DaveR2 on 3/19/16Aztec Baseball at Tony Gwynn Stadium - San Diego

I took my young daughter to her first baseball game. She was so excited and the team didn't disappoint. Many of the players signed a ball for her. One of the players tossed a ball to her as a keepsake. The team responded to her cheers by scoring more runs and taking the lead (coincidence, I know. But still pretty cool because she thought it was because of her cheering). Overall, it was a great first baseball game for us. One that I won't soon forget. Thanks SDSU!

    Go Aztecs!

by Anonymous on 3/7/14Aztec Baseball at Tony Gwynn Stadium - San Diego

My husband and I took our two boys and grandma and grandpa to the SDSU vs USD game on Tuesday night. Both boys play youth baseball and they really enjoyed seeing the university players playing a game that they love! It was a great game at such a great venue for a great price! We will definitely take our boys to more games this season! Go Aztecs!
