Felix Hernandez was in the flow and read the audience perfectly. Most fun I've had on a public dance floor in a while. The crowd also had a great vibe, made a few new friends

    Rhythm Revue Rocks!

by beolabee on 5/29/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I have never danced so much in such a long time! If you like to dance, and you loved the 70's music! This was the place to be! I am still talking about it and still sore. Word to the wise, pace yourself, so you don't burn out! It is non-stop dancing, and you would want to stay on that dance floor all night long. I know I did! I would do it all over again. Felix Hernandez rocks!

First Time but Definitely Not the Last!

by Onebyd on 5/28/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

This was our first time attending a rhythm revue dance party but it definitely won't be the last! The event started right on time and the music, energy and crowd was excellent from start to finish. It was an older crowd which we loved because there was no holding up the wall and staring at people waiting for someone to go out on the dance floor, all people were interested in was having a good time and that's exactly what happened. DJ Hernandez was EXCELLENT and had the crowd going from beginning to end and the crowd was great because they kept the dance floor packed and were even dancing at the tables and in the aisles. The entire night was so much fun and we absolutely will be back for another event!

RHYTHM REVUE - 60s Soul Dance Party w/DJ FELIX HER

by SweetChacha63 on 2/2/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I had a treat time. Felix went deep into the 60s and pulled from the archives those memorable melodies that reminded us of what great music really is. My Brooklyn family and I had a great time.

    disappointed

by BrooklynBB on 2/2/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

It was a Thursday night. I Had worked all day and had to work the next. It was 28 degrees outside. I took the subway from Brooklyn to BB Kings on a night such as this in anticipation of a night of dancing to the music that I love. I attended the last Felix Hernandez 1960s music night at BB Kings. It was wonderful! I danced for 3 hours non stop. The hits just kept coming. I also attend the events at Roseland. Consequently I don't think it is unreasonable for me to have certain expectations of the type of music that will be played at a Felix Hernandez event. I expect R&B. Thursday night, after the first couple of selections, Felix announced that he was going to mix it up. Not play only R&B... Okay. I was still game. However, as the night unfolded I realised that he had really meant what he said. The "mix" was too much for my taste. At one point I stood up on the stairway and watched the crowd, as each time one of these "other" types of music was played, the dance floor was noticeably less populated. So I knew that it was not only me, who was underwhelmed. I finally left after a couple of hours.
