About

Paul McCartney has been anything but idle during his post-Beatle years. In 1971 (within one year after the break-up of the Fab Four), McCartney formed the rock band Wings which would go on to produce numerous hit singles and enjoy strong album and ticket sales during the decade of its existence. Wings' most successful and highly acclaimed album, Band on the Run, stayed at the top of the U.S. Charts for four weeks and went triple platinum. Hit songs for the band include "Live and Let Die," "Band on the Run," "Jet," and "Silly Love Songs." McCartney proved, in the '80s, that his popularity with the public was still as strong as ever by embarking on a highly successful solo tour. Memorable collaborative songs were also produced in the '80s--"Say Say Say" and "The Girl is Mine" with Michael Jackson, and "Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder. In the '90s, he expanded his already impressive musical repertoire by composing two albums of classical works (Standing Stone and Working Classical) recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and, in the same decade, released an album of ambient, techno music under the pseudonym The Firemen. Other notable albums of his solo career are 1982's Tug of War (recorded with famed Beatles producer George Martin), his 1984 soundtrack for the film Give My Regards to Broad Street (which he also directed), and 1989's Flowers in the Dirt, and 1997's Flaming Pie. McCartney was honored with a Knightship in 1997.

Still Great after all these year

by wriche68 on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

Paul played for almost 3 hours and was awesome. Love how he played songs oldie and newer song. "Hey Jude" was incredible with the whole audience singing along. Loved Bruce Springsteen joining Sir Paul on stage to sing "Glory Day" and "'I Wanna Be You Man'. Jon Bon Jovi singing "Happy Birthday" was great as well.

    Awesome!

by Mary the Rocker on 6/21/22Camping World Stadium - Orlando

The concert was great. Although Paul has lost his voice, it did not matter because he knows how put on a show. He blew up the place with 'Live and Let Die' and the lights, background and visual effects on display were top of the line, the best there is. The only thing I would complain are ticket prices. I could not afford to be closer to the stage, too expensive!

    Witnessed History

by Steve B on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

What can you say, Paul McCartney is a living legend. When you see one of his concerts, you witness history. He is one of the classiest entertainers ever. His only concern is pleasing the audience. He tells stories about his experiences, sings the greatest songs ever written, and plays for 3 hours - at 80 years old - truly amazing.

Better than even 5 years ago!

by Paul's still Got it on 6/21/22JMA Wireless Dome - Syracuse

Paul's voice has been said to be starting to show his age; but we thought he sounded right on this time around. The song selection was awesome. It was really touching to see the video and hear him sing with John Lennon from the material Peter Jackson gave to Paul. Also nice to hear those classics from Abby Road. All in all, this was our second time seeing him and we thought it was even better than last time! We look forward to when he comes around again. We are glad he 'got back' and we will surely... get back.

Phenomenal and Iconic Concert with Legendary Paul McCartney!

by Lulu B on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

The show was absolutely fantastic!! The MetLife venue is beautiful and very well organized upon entering for your seats. The acoustics were great, special effects and lighting all excellent. The two screens helped a lot even though we were relatively close to the stage. Wonderful surprise with Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi. I appreciated that Paul played for three hours with no intermission. That was stellar! I LOVED every second of it and would definitely see another concert or football game at MetLife stadium. My life dream has been fulfilled to see Sir (and now Lord) Paul McCartney in concert. It was well worth the trip!! Ticketmaster tix were easy with app etc. A superb experience all in all.

    Best Concert Ever!

by Julie Ann Tropea on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

As usual, Paul's concert at MetLife Stadium was amazing! Every concert he does gets better and better if that is even possible - such a great talent. I was in the next to last row in the stadium and I loved every second of the show. He still has his voice, never takes an intermission yet gives his band (such a talented group of guys) a break when he plays his acoustic guitar - so thoughtful. Totally awesome experience. No show beats his show. So happy I could share his birthday with him (2 days early.) Happy Birthday, Paul!!!

4 th time at a McCartney show. Always a great production!

by Barry on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

Sir Paul has the energy of someone half his age. Quite amazing! Can’t say enough good things about the show. I will say I was disappointed in my seats. We bought 1 st row section 2 which according to the seating chart showed a fantastic view of the stage slightly to the right of center. However, what was not disclosed in the seating charts was the stage had 2 huge video screens on each side so the stage was half the size putting my seats directly in front of the video screen. Had I known, I would have selected a different seat. We paid $6,000 for the 2 tickets.

    Dream Come True

by bzb4me on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

I LOVED this concert!!!!! I don't go to many concerts, but the dream I had was to see a Beatle as a Bucket List item. Three years ago Ringo came to a local venue and I was lucky enough to get to see him. After that I got greedy and decided to see Paul in concert and then the pandemic hit and he didn't tour for the last few years. I figured that at his age he may never tour again and then I saw that he had an American tour this spring and I jumped right on it!! It was such a treat to see Paul in person and the concert was awesome!!! Paul was awesome!!! Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi came on stage to wish Paul a Happy Birthday and the whole audience sang Happy Birthday to him. It was an unforgettable night!!!!

    McCartney was Incredible!

by Jake on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

Paul McCartney put on a fantastic performance at Metlife Stadium. He played so many great solo and Beatle tunes that the audience was totally Wow-ed! He told a few stories about 'the lads and I' in the Beatle years that had the audience captivated. The songs were sequenced beautifully and his band was so talented. The whole experience was just so exciting. I can't say enough go things about Sir Paul. I hope to see him again.

Paul sang for almost 3 hrs. Without a break. The Band was tremendous and they looked some comfortable playing with a Legend. When the Boss made his surprise entrance it just topped off a great evening, not including the finale and Fireworks. Wow

    Greatest Concert EVER!

by LeslieA on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

This was the best concert I have ever been to. It was so special and meaningful and a dream come true. This was also the most emotional concert I have seen. The virtual song with John was incredible. The tributes to John and George were so touching. This concert made me cry, smile, laugh, dance, sing and feel overwhelmed with joy just to be there. Paul McCartney did not disappoint. I have loved him my whole life and now that love has grown deeper.

    Great Show from an Icon

by Mark W. on 6/21/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

How many superlatives can it possibly take to describe the incomparable Paul McCartney? The almost-80-year-old put on a phenomenal show, mixing classic Beatles songs from every era with Wings, solo, and even new songs for two and a half hours straight. His adoring fans, like me, were singing along and loving every minute of it. Even better, local favorite Bruce Springsteen showed up and played on a couple of songs with Paul and his band. Overall, a wonderful time that I'll never forget.
