Orlando City SC History

Orlando City entered the league for the 2015 season, signing former Ballon d'Or winner Kaká to be the team’s first designated player. The veteran Kaká was paired with Canadian rookie Cyle Larin, who scored 17 goals in 27 games during his debut campaign, a new record for MLS rookies. Larin won Rookie of the Year honors for the 2015 season, which saw Orlando barely miss the playoffs by just one point in the stacked Eastern Conference.

Taking over in 2019 as head coach, Óscar Pareja led the club to its first playoff qualification in 2020 and guided Orlando City to their first trophy as a team in 2022, winning the U.S. Open Cup Final. In 2023, the team placed as runners-up for the Supporters’ Shield.

Orlando City SC at Inter&Co Stadium (Formerly Exploria Stadium)

As MLS grew in 2010, Orlando was granted one of the league's expansion teams. The city set about building a brand-new soccer-specific stadium for the incoming team, Orlando City SC, which began play in 2015 at the nearby Citrus Bowl. Inter&Co Stadium, known as Orlando City Stadium until 2019 and as Exploria Stadium until January 2024, became the team’s new home pitch in 2017. The 25,500-seat venue also hosts the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League.

    My worst soccer game experience

by Mariokor on 1/30/24Inter&Co Stadium - Orlando

A nice place, a big croud and a bad organized event. The people were alowed to start entering the stadium less than one and a half hour prior to the game. Slow and confusing, the lines were long. Fans were entering the stadium until almost 37 minutes of the first half and moving around looking for their seats making difficult for those who were already seated to watch the game. The weather was sunny and hot. We were not allowed to bring our own water and a Bottle inside the stadium cost 5 dollars… too expensive. For less than US$5 you buy 36 bottles of water at Walmart. Hope to have a better experience next time.

    Flamengo Soccer Game

by Erin on 1/30/24Inter&Co Stadium - Orlando

I absolutely loved Flamengo coming and competing against Orlando and wish this would happen monthly! My husband loves that team as he is from Brazil and I have grown to love them myself. I would love for these games to continue to happen so we can attend as many as possible in the future. It was a very special moment for my husband and I to see them in person and on the field. However, coming into the game was so crazy and unorganized, and I missed the first and only goal scored by Flamengo and I missed a lot of other parts of the game too, even though we got in line an hour early to get in and get seated.

    Hard To Watch

by Big Guy on 11/28/23Exploria Stadium - Orlando

Hadn't been to a match in nearly 5 years and it was hard to watch. I've never seen more "flops"from both teams in a match ever. The seats were great, was in the corner of the stadium, just under enough to avoid any rain drops, and had a great view of Orlando City looking like children who just started to learn the game playing. Not sure I'll return.

    Great Idea Poorly Executed

by Hungry Harry on 11/5/23Exploria Stadium - Orlando

Bought the Eastside premium zone with free food and drinks (domestic beer, wine, & soft drinks). Sounds great in theory. They claim to serve until the 83rd minute. However, they ran out of food and drinks long before that and do not restock. Once it's gone, freebies are over. Numerous groups from our section went to buy additional food towards the middle of the 2nd half. The seat were less than ideal. The top 4 or 5 rows are underneath the low overhanging upper level, making it feel a bit claustrophobic not being able to see the sky. Additionally, the TV camera is set beside the last 2 or 3 rows, making it difficult or impossible to see action in the northeast corner of the pitch.

    Soccer Bliss

by Matt on 11/2/23Exploria Stadium - Orlando

Exploria Stadium is an authentic soccer stadium. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. Getting in and out is easy. Getting a beer at the self checkout is a revelation. I love going to games here.

    Fantastic venue and atmosphere

by Scuba Steve on 11/2/23Exploria Stadium - Orlando

Exploria does a great job bringing energy, atmosphere, and fun. The merch store has a wide range of options, and the crowd is friendly. Concessions have tons of variety, and are average price for stadium fare. I highly recommend trying the Supporters Section - there are no seats, but it's a party in the stadium.

    Good seats, mediocre club experience

by Teamshrink on 11/2/23Exploria Stadium - Orlando

I've been to the West Club several times. Compared to other "club"experiences (NBA, NFL, MLB, college) I'd say it's a little below par - mostly because it's so darned crowded. It's almost impossible to get a seat unless you're there right as the gates open. The food/drink lines are ridiculously long. It certainly doesn't feel as "upscale"as the others. That said, the staff is always great and the seats were perfect. I didn't bother to wait in line to try all of the food, but what I had was OK. All in all, it was a good time, just not quite as nice as you might expect if you've been to some other pro sports.
