    Great Show!

by Vince on 10/22/19New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

This was a great show--from the warm-up act (Abby Rosenquist) to the main event. Michael Ian Black isn't just funny--he's inventive, witty, and warm; he knows how to get close to an audience and how to interact. We'd love to see another of his shows.

This show lived up to all my expectations. Michael was on point from start to finish. His take on everyday life is the best. Getting to meet him after the show was a dream come true!

by Goobertwo on 10/13/15Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

MIB is so great; I'm stoked that I got to see him. He was professional and hilarious and mean and made it easy to stay up way past my bedtime. I would see him again in a heartbeat.

Michael Ian Black delivers the goods

    by Bourbon59 on 6/5/14Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant & Music Club - Somerville

Michael Ian Black gave a great show as expected. His smart, relevant humor got consistent laughs throughout the hour long monologue. His Papa John's bit is particularly funny, just stay with it to the end.

    Awkwardly delightful

    by Tinita13 on 6/2/14Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant & Music Club - Somerville

With an opening from Boston's "gay Iranian" the night was off with a penis bang! There were obviously some in attendance who had no idea what was going on, but Mehan went big. He's now my favorite gay in comedy. MIB was also on fire and went balls to the walls with his performance. He even dared to lay down on the stage. If that's not balls, I'm not sure what is.

Loved the show, MIB has a great stage presence and I was basically hanging on his every word. It even made me want to buy his book!

    awesome show

    by phillippe99 on 6/2/14Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant & Music Club - Somerville

VERY funny. opening comedian was also great. would def go to see Michael Ian Black again and would recommend to all my friends. only negative was venue had standing room only, but it's a small restaurant, so there was pretty much no where to stand without restaurant staff constantly asking us to move while they carrier plates of food and drinks. there were a couple tv monitors but....obviously we wanted to see the actual comedian who was 30 feet away from us, instead of having to look at him through a video monitor which was behind us. we tried to make reservations for dinner so we could secure seats, but they were sold out.

    Laughed All Night

by Anonymous on 12/6/11Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - Washington

Michael is a great comedian. His jokes keep me laughing. You have to hear about his honeymoon in Amsterdam. :) Or his adventures in parenting. Don't miss his shows, you will not regret seeing him live. The venue is good. The synagogue has open seating, so get there early for a good seat. The view from the center of the balcony level is great.

Michael Ian Black beats his wife, in the face.

by GimpyDonkey on 12/5/11The National - Richmond

We were running late so we didn't really see much of the opening act, a sketch troupe, just the last few minutes. Their sound was not very good (couldn't understand their name which is why I haven't included it) and I felt the venue may have been slightly rude to them. This may have been staged, it was a comedy show after all. Black was hilarious. Honestly if you don't know who Michael Ian Black is (from AT LEAST The State) then reading this review is probably pointless, but his comedy is mildly dirty (sometimes very), very witty, more than slightly sardonic, and as a person past my early 20s I feel almost as though my comic taste has aged with his. He is definitely a good fit for the smarter side of the MTV generation, but the ones who can laugh at themselves as well. He took the stage for roughly 90 minutes but I was laughing so constantly that when he left I would have sworn it had only been 30. To the best of my knowledge all of the material was new (some definitely improved) and very, very funny. And he beats his wife.
