About

What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

    Tennis Fan

by Trish on 4/12/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

I enjoyed my experience at the Open. The facility had good viewing and I attended more than one day and sat in different locations. The staff was well informed and very professional. The grounds and stadium were very clean. My only complaint was that the information on line lacked some important information. There was no mention that this venue was credit only and that there were few water fountains available to those who did not bring water with them. I would be interested to know about area hotels, especially any that may be walking distance and/or that have public transportation to the Open. I had a great experience and will be back next year.

    Great Tennis; Horrendous Parking

by A Hutton on 4/5/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

I purchased a yellow parking pass, but all the yellow lots were full when we got there. We spent an hour driving around to each yellow lot since there were few attendants and the ones that were there didn't seem to have much information. Cars were all over the place and turning around in the middle of the road trying to find their own parking. It was mass confusion! We were finally directed to the Walmart lot, an additional mile from the stadium and not what I'd paid for. Luckily, the tennis was great, but we will not be back next year if the parking situation is not resolved!!

    Need shuttle bus

by Bianca on 4/4/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Very difficult to get to Hard Rock Stadium and even worst after the match. Please, think about transportation: shuttle bus, Or more meeting point for UBER, Lyft because transport is a turn off.

    Tennis great, good experience not!

by Ged on 4/3/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

The tennis was great albeit one sided and short, no ones fault I guess only Dimitrov who wasn’t at the races really! The good experience was not good, queued for ages, told no chicken tenders left, 20 or so cooking but no urgency, then told there maybe was chicken tenders, then there was, then we waited, people who’d ordered multiple meals were getting one at a time, you paid and then were moved to one side with no space, then food arrived and people just grabbed it, no order, no organisation and no service, awful. We eventually did get the 4 meals we had ordered, one every 2/3 mins, need to sort this out, we weren’t the only customers really upset!

Tennis was great the stadium was TERRIBLE.

by Saly on 4/3/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Tennis for the Miami Open is at the Hardrock Stadium which was converted from a football stadium to a Tennis Complex. The renovated "makeshift"part of the stadium is terrible...seats are clipped on to a metal beam --which means that if anybody in that row moves, all the seats shake. Worse than that is the limited restroom areas--a portable trailer and one restroom with 2 stalls. The only way to get to decent restroom was to go to section 100 or 200 where the restrooms do meet acceptable standards. If you are disabled or have difficulty walking that is a huge hike. There was no water fountain in this section to fill water bottles, staff told me to fill up in the restrooms !! Food selection was also very limited. I bought seats for 8 sessions in sections M, N, E, J and spent over $7000. What a bad decision !! Highly recommend that the tournament move to a stadium meant for tennis- not a makeshift tennis stadium. Highly recommend that if you do attend ,pick seats in the permanent part of the stadium...dont make the mistake I made !! I have been to Indian Wells, US Open, Australian Open, Wimbledon etc...and this was easily the worst stadium experience I have ever had.

    Awful parking experience

by LG on 4/3/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Parking was a disaster. Paid $40 and had to park far away the venue where shuttles were transporting people in a crowded space, no seats and having to wait a long tine for the shuttle to arrive.

    Great experience

by CPaw on 4/3/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Other than the exorbitant taxes of ticketmaster, the event was enjoyable and well organized. The parking lot flow could be improved.

    Great tournament but…

by Nancy on 4/2/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

I enjoyed the tournament, but there should be more public transportation offered to get there, by shuttles or buses to reduce road traffic and costs.

    Miami open

by Lila on 4/2/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Seats were uncomfortable. Stores had limited merchandise & everything was Lacoste (disappointing!). The nicest thing was lunch at Nobu which was great. The tennis venue itself is not a big deal
