    Wouldn’t have minded…..

by Bikernurse on 1/29/24Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

I honestly would have liked more of just Mary Chapin Carpenter. Shawn Colvin is great too but I REALLY like MCC. It was a grand evening, none the less.

    MCC & Shawn Colvin

by Greg on 1/29/24Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

Too much talking and not enough singing! Wanted to hear more of MCC’s hit songs, rather than all of the cover songs they played!!

Good Show - Living Room Nice touch

by kc on 11/3/23Birchmere - Alexandria

Birchmere is always a great venue. 1st show been to since before pandemic. Mary and Shawn put on a good show. I just thought that Shawn had more 'time' at the mic than Mary did. Duos were good and the chatter was fun.

Carpenter & Colvin Are The Best!

by HP Preston on 10/31/23Birchmere - Alexandria

Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin are national treasures. Friends for more than 36 years, the singer-songwriters spent almost two hours at every show regaling the audience with a mixture of their own songs, works from other artists they admire, and funny stories about themselves and each other. Part concert, part comedy act, their shows are fun, touching, and filled with amazing singing and playing by two world-class artists. Go see them when they tour again.

    Compelling Performance

    by Housing1st on 10/30/23Birchmere - Alexandria

Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter are national treasures. Their solos and duet performances were sensational. If you can, see them individually or, preferably, together.

    Excellent show

    by DaveBR549 on 10/30/23Birchmere - Alexandria

Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin put on an excellent show with their terrific musicianship. It was just the two of them playing acoustic guitars and, of course, singing, and it was low key while at the same time upbeat. They were funny when talking to the audience and held everyone’s attention with their anecdotes. You didn’t have to be a hard core fan or expert on their music to have a great time, but the true fans really seemed to enjoy themselves.
