by Laura on 5/16/23Théâtre Corona - MontrealIt was a great show, Mr Fields is definitely an entertainer even at 70 years old !! The only downside I’d have to say is that he didn’t play the song Ladies which is my personal favourite but I forgive him because the show was amazing !!

However the audience completely failed to match the enthusiasm of the performers, almost the entire crowd was standing completely still throughout the performance. Why bother attending a lively funk/soul performance if you're just going to stand around looking bored? Apologies to the performers on behalf of the SF audience, I assure you that at least some of us loved your show.

Lee played all the hits, was in great voice and spirit and definitely had some moves!! His band was TIGHT. My only complaint was that the set was just an hour long and left me wanting more. Don't leave me this way!!

I thought that the music would be to dated for me to grasp an appreciation for it. I decided to go and I am happy that I did! Lee Fields & the Expressions had so much energy and so many good songs that I found myself rocking to their songs as if I had heard it before. I am a new fan and I can't wait to see them again!
