Khalid Concert Schedule
Hailed as one of the voices of the millennial generation, Khalid found fame virtually overnight with a blend of melancholic R&B, smooth synth-pop and relatable tales of 21st-century teenage life. In stark contrast to his famously languid vocal delivery, the singer-songwriter is a magnetic force on stage, whether he's jumping around with American flag-themed cheerleaders, revealing the stories behind the songs or inspiring the crowd to sing along to every word. He first hit the road in 2017 with the 21-city Location trek before announcing a more expansive American Teen tour that allowed both his North American and European fans to soak up the Khalid live experience.
Khalid Background
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1998, Khalid Amhearst Robinson constantly moved around as a child due to his mother's military career, spending time in the Middle East, New York and Germany before settling in El Paso, Texas, in his mid-teens. Inspired by the sounds of '90s R&B and contemporary artists as eclectic as Alt-J, Frank Ocean and Father John Misty, Khalid began making music shortly after. Produced by Syk Sense, Tunji Ige and Smash David, the 2016 debut single "Location" immediately put him on the map, with high-profile support from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard and BuzzFeed helping it to reach No. 16 on the US Hot 100 and amass over 35 million plays on Spotify. Khalid's 2017 debut album, American Teen, further positioned him as an important new voice, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and spawning another Top 40 hit, "Young, Dumb and Broke." Khalid subsequently became an in-demand guest artist, with Logic ("1-800-273-8255"), Calvin Harris ("Rollin'"), Marshmello ("Silence") and Lorde ("Homemade Dynamite") all utilizing his rich, soulful croon to hit-making effect. Khalid also toured with Lorde in 2017, appeared at various festivals including SXSW, SnowGlobe and iHeartRadio Music Festival, made his TV debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and was crowned Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards. In the short space of a year, he also gained 1.5 million followers on Twitter and Instagram.
Outstanding show! My daughter and niece walked away with a sense of unity for our great city. #elpasostrong
Lots of love was felt in this venue. Khalid and all his guests were amazing.
I was one of last tickets purchased, but even though I was on very top and had no view of the large screens, Khalid's (and friends) performance was A+! I appreciated that Khalid continually performed to all sides of stage, so I was able to see him a lot!! Sound was great!
Really enjoyed the show! Loved how personal he was.
Ok so I'm a Khalid fan. I got front row seats for my birthday. Now I'm a mega fan. If you don't really know and enjoy his music, I'd say don't go. He doesn't sing his collabs till the end. That said, the energy was AMAZING. I have literally had him on repeat and added so many of his songs to my Playlists. He even sang us Leo's a birthday song! I would 100% see him again.
Venue was clean and nice, sound quality was great, and good view even if you weren’t in the close seats! Khalid is an amazing talent and would go to see him again and again. Just an absolutely amazing night
Nothing out of the ordinary, he was just there singing not engaging the audience and the same songs repeated over and over again every 5 songs but besides that the tech crew did amazing with the projects on the floor and the wall behind him.
So let me start by saying there is ONE reason why this review doesn’t have 5 stars, and it wasn’t even Khalids fault. That being said, I would gladly see him live again ANY DAY. BUT his opener, Clairo, was unable to perform for an unspecified reason. Due to that, we had to wait and listen to the band or popular hits over the speaker system for an hour and a half until Khalid started his set, which was an hour long. That was disappointing, but his performance was OUTSTANDING. I can only assume that the opener got a little overwhelmed from the tour and unfortunately we were the ones that had to miss out.
Great New Artist Debut Concert, Sucks for an Established Artist. If this was Khalid's very first tour it was a decent start (hopefully it was). If this was a sophomore tour it was not one to go to, in or out of the states. Khalid is way too big in the states to not have back-up singers or a structured premise on stage. The videography literally made the show. Something I'd expect for a first tour, however not for an established artist.
i had an amazing experience at the khalid concert. he was just a breath taking. i had an east time getting in and out of the stadium through the gieco parking garage (worth the extra money) but getting out of the garage was definitely hectic. overall the amway center was great, good air conditioning and everything.
Organized, good price and excellent show. Nothing to complain about. Just wish they indicate the right time that the show starts.
It was my daughter and I first ever concert. We went with 2 of her friends. We were dropped off and immediately we noticed Khalids van where we were greeted with friendly faces and smiles and were able to take pictures . We stood in line at the west gate entrance where we were one of the firsts. When they opened the doors we went through security and was held in another line for some more time. We all needed to go to the restroom really bad so waiting longer was beginning to be really hard. Finally we scanned our tickets on my phone and up the escalators. Went straight to the bathroom and then ordered food which was way over priced and the quality was less than a McDonald’s. But as soon as we got to our seats everything was great because we knew we were going to see Khalid. The girl calico who opened the concert was a pleasant surprise and we loved her music as well. The girls and I had a blast dancing and singing all night long. We love Khalid #freespirit
It was very epic, the app is very easy to use and i had fun
Super I like you songs. The best .me emcanto clairo..un especatculo maravilloso. Mis papas. Me compraronn los tickets. Muy organizado thanks
Meeting Khalid was amazing no doubt about it he was super nice and made it feel super personal which was amazing and kind of him to take that time to do, rather than a hi and alright smile for the camera. But for some reason the time that was given wasn’t when it began, everything was pushed behind which made things a little less enjoyable. There also was no first hand merch buying so at the end of the night there was hardly any merch left or there wasn’t anything in sizes other than XL and XXL :(
We sat right up close to the stage and the seating wasn’t too crowded, the place was clean, and the performance was really good. 10/10 amazing concert
Khalid delivered an amazing live show with chill vibes and cool set!
It was amazing so i also don’t know what else to write sooooooo
I love khalid and I enjoyed seeing him in person but the sound was very bad. I could hardly understand what he was singing or saying... very disappointing.
We had a wonderful experience... Even the staff at the AAA were nice from the ticket takers to the F&B staff. And of course Khalid put on an excellent show.
