Kansas City Chiefs History
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded as the Dallas Texans in 1959 by businessman, sports pioneer and American Football League founder Lamar Hunt. The team moved to Kansas City before the 1963 season and were renamed the Chiefs. The team found success early on, winning three AFL championships in the 1960s to become the team with the most championships in the AFL. In 1970, the club joined the NFL when it merged with the AFL. That year, the team won its first AFL-NFL championship in Super Bowl IV against the Minnesota Vikings, beating them 23-7.
The Chiefs have had 25 individuals inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have produced five Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award winners — tied with the Chicago Bears for the most of any team.
Head Coach Andy Reid joined the team in 2013, and under his leadership, the Chiefs have made the playoffs consistently. The club won the AFC West from 2016 to 2022 and clinched championship titles at Super Bowl LIV in 2020 and Super Bowl LVII in 2023.

Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Opened in 1972, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium has a capacity of 76,416. As one of the first stadiums developed after the AFL merged with the NFL, Arrowhead was a leader in stadium design. It introduced the use of arrows on the yard markers at the goal line (eventually becoming a requirement in the NFL), and was the first to be a part of the two-stadium Truman Sports Complex.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is also known to be one of the loudest stadiums in the league. In 2014, fans set a Guinness World Record for stadium noise, registering a sound of 142.2 decibels during a game against the New England Patriots.

Amazing experience!! We were Philadelphia Eagles fans from out of town and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Stadium could use some updating but all in all it was a blast!!
The Chiefs fans replaced the last word braves with Chiefs in our National Anthem on Military Appreciation Night. The disrespect they have for our country and those that served was abhorrent! Will never go to that stadium again! They have absolutely no respect for Native Americans and try to hide it by calling themselves a kingdom. Pathetic!
Flew in from Seattle, WA to watch the "Brothers"rematch. Weather was cold and wet but everything else about that game was steller!! Love your stadium and got to hear first hand how you broke our Decibel level for noise! Congrats!! We'll work on that back in Seattle.
The parking was absolutely horrible for the Chiefs vs Eagles game. It was a free for all. I paid the $53 to park in the lot and there was mass confusion as to where to park. Do better!!!
We are Eagles fans and the KC fans were welcoming and kind. It was a great experience!
The tailgating, the game, the fans were great. When the game was over, there is no organized transportation to get home for out-of-towners like me. I had to cross my fingers and pay some random rideshare cash since no Ubers, Lyfts, or taxis were available via the app. The stadium does not have a designated area for rideshare, nor is there public transportation. If you go to a game, be sure to drive there!
Parking! Getting out of the stadium is horrible! Took over an hour for our lot to even move. Then the lot was gravel, muddy, puddles etc, after an hour and 15 minutes finally had a couple of security guards show us another way out. Just would like to think for what a person pays to see a game anymore that there’d be parking lot attendants to help relieve the traffic.
Great experience first time at a NFL game tickemaster was great no issues
The day was awesome. Tailgate time was fun. Loved the coke zero folks and snapping a picture of our group. Stadium staff helped us locate the elevators. Fans in the section we were in were great. Even the Charger fans. Best of all Chiefs won and weather was excellent for football!!

Absolutely the best NFL experience ever been to many stadiums but this by far was the best from the moment you enter the parking lot to you leave the stadium absolutely the best, The stadium staff went above and beyond. They are absolutely awesome.
First ever live NFL game and I thought it was amazing. 10/10 would attend another one
MY FIRST TIME AT ARROWHEAD. WAS TOLD IT'S A GREAT STADIUM, SO, HAD TO GO. LOTS TO INCLUDE THE FANS. AND THE CHIEFS WERE ON THEIR GAME. THE ONLY DRAWBACK, WAS THE COST OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES. GLAD I ATE BEFORE WE GOT THERE. HOW CAN A FAMILY WITH KIDS AFFORD TO GO ??
The atmosphere and fan experience are unmatched! I look forward to my next opportunity to come back. The fans are very friendly and create a welcoming family type environment!

We had a blast. Friendly Kansas City folks even when we were in full Lions gear. Watching the big tailgate party and how Chief fans do it was so fun. The stadium experience was so cool and very loud. The fact Detroit Lions came out with a win was the best. We have the best traveling fans. Would watch the Lions again on the road. So glad we did this.
I went here as a Lion's fan who travelled from the UK and what an experience and the chief's fans are first class all the way. Everybody was fantastic and I would definitely go back someday. AMAZING experience all round
Now as Lion's fan, I was very happy with the outcome. But that stadium was designed with the fan in mind. We were in the 300 section and the view was great. Didn't seem like there was a bad seat in the house. And bow was that place loud! I'm glad I was able to see a game there.
