    Too Loud

by JEC on 4/11/24Indiana University Memorial Stadium - Bloomington

Concept of ending with her was a great idea. Don’t think she hit the mark—very, very, very loud. Crowd started leaving. Terrific event. Eclipse was enough.

3 hours of vocal talent and incredible costumes

by lilHermit on 12/18/23Massey Hall - Toronto

I hadn't watched live videos of her so I didn't know Janelle was SUCH a talented singer!! All the other instrumentalists were also incredibly talented and the costume design was to DIE for. It was an amazing and multifaceted experience, the price I paid for the tickets was a steal!

    JANELLE IS EVERYTHING!!!

by JAMES W. on 10/24/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Let me first start by saying I've been a fan for a very long time, I love her talent, her singing, dancing, concepts, and everything that said, the way she was really SAAAAAANGIN!!!! on this tour we weren't ready as the audience she was really belting it out for us while singing and dancing her heart out. The entire show was cosmic and she's just an amazing bright light that I have to say the masses just don't give her the credit that she fully deserves. She truly is a triple threat and great at everything. If she ever comes back in the future do yourself a favor and see her live. Shes Fantastical!!!

    Phenomenal Concert, Venue, & Staff

by Taia M. on 10/23/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Parking was really straightforward and affordable - I got a pass for the Blue Parking Lot. The staff was friendly and informed you where to go. There was some confusion about the East or West entrance for VIP Nation ticketholders (we were supposed to go to the East entrance!) All venue staff staff was very kind, efficient, and professional. The concert was a phenomenal, healing, & inspirational. Props to Janelle and her team for creating such a beautiful sonic and visual experience for everyone.

Duped into buying the worst seats in the house

by Disappointed! on 10/23/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

I'm really not sure how this happened but I went to the website to purchase Janelle Monet tickets. Somewhere in the process of purchasing the tickets I was bated with the phrase "Best possible seats available. "I was then shown a diagram with the section I was being offered with the section highlighted in a darker color I thought "the seats being offered were located in what would be considered the orchestra section". What didn't make any sense to me was the tickets were priced at $12.00 per ticket. Having been to many concerts in my life I wondered why these seats were so cheap but ultimately I decided to purchase the tickets in spite of my trepidation about the low ball pricing. Because the tickets were digital, I opted into the option to gain access to the concert with my smart phone. Having never been to the SoFi Stadium before, I was excited to see Janelle Monet in this new venue. After purchasing a $50.00 tee-shirt I went into the venue and requested an usher assist me to my seat. What happened next was truly unbelievable. The usher walked me to the very last row in the theater and announced these are your seats. I thought "I know I questioned why the seats were so cheap but I was shown a visual of the seats I was buying in the orchestra section. The funny thing was, it turns out the orchestra section for this venue had no seats. The section was clearly designated standing room only. To be honest, I felt taken advantage of, lied to and incredibly disappointed. I tried my best to make the best of these horrible seats but the seats were so far away from the stage and to add insult to injury, the seats were in direct line with the air conditioning unit which was blowing at full blast. By the end of the first act I was so cold that I decided to leave the concert and I didn't get to see Janelle Monae. In addition I paid $38 for parking. The fact is my entire evening was ruined. I don't know how this bait and switch situation happened to me but you can rest assured that if I ever attend a venue at sofi StadiumI in the future I will pay attention a lot more closely when buying tickets. Horrible!

Janelle is AMAZING - YouTube Theater not so much

by KCameronLA on 10/22/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

If I could have heard her over the majorly distorted bass, the concert would be one of the best I've ever seen. Janelle is amazing, her voice has never been better - from what I could hear. She put on a flirty, joyous, sexy, incredible show. Everything I expected from her and more. You cannot go wrong seeing that extraordinary being in person. If you haven't? You must go! Just don't see her (or anyone you actually like) at YouTube Theater in LA. It's a beautiful, very, very clean venue. Parking is pricey, but easy. The food is pricey, but nice. It's absolutely surreal walking up to the doors - so fresh and so new! Lighted steps and a fountain! Tons of room to walk around. The seats are comfortable. It's all great! And then... the music starts. The bass was distorted - not just up too loud or unbalanced (though that was a problem) but like the speakers were blown. It sounded awful and was so unbalanced that you often couldn't even hear the musicians. Terrible. Really just the worst concert sound I've ever experienced (and I've seen over 150 concerts).
