Thoroughly enjoyed walking the final round of the Sentry Champuonship. Git to be up clise to sine of my favorite golfers. Ticketnadter was ver friendly. I could not get my ticjet in my phone app. Called Ticketmaster before the event. A lady from South Texas said my ticjet woukd be ar will call and ut was.
Sorry... there are currently no upcoming events.
It was a great experience to be able to watch pros. To me this is chance of a lifetime to be around them. Most likely will be back next year. This was our third year watching the event. Maybe they’ll have a better way of getting the spectators to the first tee instead of walking a mile to get there.
Hopefully your in good shape because its alot of walking with drastic elevation changes. Food and drink were over priced but expected. What an experience, would do it again on a return trip!
The event and scenery are fantastic. If you are going to do any walking, be prepared...it is VERY hilly. As well, they are fairly relaxed on their chair rule so feel free to bring a lawn chair and set up at one of the easier holes to get to.
The golf itself was good at the Sentry Championships. The problem was that there is NO accessibility for people with physical limitations. There is no mention of this in the description of the event. When we asked for assistance getting beyond holes 1-8-9 we were told that none exist and that the PGA has refused to do anything about it. The clubhouse and final hole is not available to anyone that isn’t physically strong. My spouse had back surgery and while able to walk decent distances, hills damage the recovery process. We asked for him to be driven in a golf cart and they said they aren’t allowed to do that - even with medical documentation. While the event was not expensive we did not get our money’s worth and were disappointed in the event.
Great day watching 34 pro golfers tee it up. A beautiful and scenic course which is a tough walking track. Plenty of wind and on and off showers kept it interesting for the golfers and stimulating for the fans.
Our experience at the Sentry Tournament of Champions was superb; start to finish. The price for one day (including Clubhouse passes) was reasonable; the venue was beautifully prepared; the staff was friendly and very helpful; and we had a spectacular day. We would highly recommend this tournament as an opportunity to get up close to golf’s professionals, who we were previously only able to see on TV! The course has a fair bit of walking involved so I would caution those with mobility issues to arrange for support in that area.
There is no value in purchasing the clubhouse pass. Save your money In addition, the parking situation was confusing. We were told that the last pickup on Sunday would be 5:45. Therefore, we missed the playoff between Thomas and Reed. Only to find out that this was not the case. The parking issue needs to be remedied before next year More concessions are needed in the course
Access to cart paths around the clubhouse and to the back 9 were restricted to carts only, no pedestrian traffic. To access the clubhouse we had to use muddy paths across the fairway, carts and pedestrians could easily share the cart paths, access to the back nine was next to impossible....poorly planned out!!
Husband would like more stands for viewing. Id like some vegetarian/vegan food options & how about ditching the plastics: utensils; encouraging people to bring reusable water bottles instead of plastic discardable ones & offering compostable clear carrying bags for viewer use?
