GROUPLOVE IN CONCERT:

Grouplove's feel-good live shows make a strong case for a literal reading of the band's name. Featuring passionate performances, upbeat indie anthems, and audience participation, the band's shows are collective experiences that satisfy both musically and emotionally. Propelled by the group's accessible indie pop songwriting, 2013 sophomore album Spreading Rumors landed at No. 21 on the Billboard 2013, building excitement for their 2014 tour dates with supporting acts MS MR and Alex Winston.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Grouplove's formation reads like the plot of a '60s free love coming-of-age story. One week after making each others' acquaintance in New York's Lower East Side, vocalist Hannah Hooper and guitarist/vocalist Christian Zucconi left town for an artist retreat in Crete, where they met the band's three additional members Andrew Wessen, Ryan Rabin, and Sean Gadd. After performing their first show in LA in 2010, the band was invited on tour with Florence and the Machine, generating significant buzz in advance of their 2011 full-length debut Never Trust a Happy Song. On the ensuing international headlining tour, the band honed their performance skills and developed the sound heard on acclaimed 2013 follow-up album Spreading Rumors.

    Ain’t nobody better!

    I saw them for the first time after discovering them over 10 years ago. When I saw they’re touring solo, I booked tickets ASAP! I went with my wife who only heard a couple songs. Both of us got lost in a sea of fun, bliss, rocking energy, and amazing songs! Not for once second did Grouplove let the crowd down. An astounding show from start to finish and I really don’t know how another act could follow them! Cant wait to see them again!!!

    The Van Buren is a great venue. Always clean, minimals lines for drinks or bathrooms. Grouplove was great. We saw them at Shaky Knees last year and they were phenomenal. They had a bit of a different vibe indoors but still amazing!

    Everything about the experience was top notch. Getting into the venu took less than 15 minutes. The opener sounded good, the headliner sounded great. Just an excellent intimate experience.

    Grouplove are one of the best live acts in any genre, they’re full of energy, nail every song and keep the audience engaged from the first minute to the last. The VIP option was fantastic too, offered great value for money which is a pretty rare thing, it’s definitely fan service, I hope they keep doing it. We go to hundreds of Indie/Rock shows every year and Grouplove are the very best. So much so, we flew from England to Los Angeles for this show and they didn’t disappoint. I hope they tour Europe again, but if not, see you in the USA again next year

    I am so happy that I bought the ticket to see Grouplove after seeing them open up for Pink last fall at Snapdragon stadium. The intimate surroundings of The North Park Observatory lent to an entirely different musical experience! I recommend to all music lovers to catch Grouplove whenever and wherever they can!!

    I loved seeing this band live. I went in thinking I only knew a few songs but I knew like 90% of them lol. Grouplove was so fun to see with so much energy on stage and amazing music. I would 1000% see them again.

    The venue is meh- sound is muddy/distorted and too loud with an impossible mix. However grouplove put on an AMAZING show. They are energetic and fun and seem to enjoy the crowd. I would see them a hundred times

    VIP is worth it

    The vip sound check, q&a thing was amazing. Basically just hanging out with the band for an hour. They talk to everyone, take pics, and answer questions. Afterwards, the actual show was excellent.

    This was My second time seeing Grouplove. They’re always amazing! 1st time was at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Or.. The Fox Theatre, in Oakland, was a beautiful Venue. I am looking forward to Our next Show at the Fox, Sassenta, in April!
