Joshua Steele was born in Towcester, UK, in 1989 and was interested in music from a young age. Growing up, he felt a kinship with the quirky fashion and wild performances of David Bowie, The Beatles and early Frank Zappa. But it wasn't until he experienced the electronic sound and over-the-top performances of producers like The Prodigy and Rusko that he found his calling. He began experimenting musically by replaying TV jingles on his Casio keyboard and later became a skilled player of drums, guitar, saxophone, and piano. Steele began performing as Flux Pavilion in 2008, releasing his first record at just 19 years old. Today, he is one of the most sought-after EDM producers, DJs, singer/songwriters and label owners in the business. He's sold out Red Rocks Amphitheatre twice, achieved a UK top 10 chart hit with MC Sway, and has placed on the DJ Mag top 100 list. In 2009, he co-founded Circus Records with longtime friend Doctor P. Flux Pavilion released his first EP in 2010, titled Lines In Wax. The EP featured the smash hit track, "I Can't Stop," which has been endlessly resampled and featured in various movies, video games and TV shows. In 2011, Flux Pavilion released the Circus One compilation album with Doctor P, and it was nominated for the BBC Sound of 2012 award. The EDM superstar realized the magnitude of his fame in November 2012, when Santa Monica police in riot gear shut down an MTV event after hundreds more people showed up than the event's permit allowed. After the success of his 2013 EPs, Blow the Roof and Freeway featuring Steve Aoki and Turin Brakes, Flux was on his way to becoming a household name. He achieved every aspiring Jedi's dream in 2014 when The Walt Disney Company asked him to remix the theme to Star Wars Rebels. Flux released his debut studio album, Tesla, in 2015, followed by 2021's .wav. His wild success has earned him headlining spots on three U.S. tours, two UK tours and several festival DJ sets, including Glastonbury, Reading, Coachella, and EDC Las Vegas.
