About

Imagine a world consumed by all-powerful bass driven rhythm and colossal seismic frequencies. Sounds of dystopian, futuristic worlds envelop the senses and control the movements of your body as the spectacular audiovisual experience of an Excision show takes hold. The stage shatters worlds with massive stacks of soul-shaking subwoofers, streams of mind-blowing lasers painting entire stadiums, flashes of multicolor lights, immersive visuals transporting you to other dimensions, and as much flame and pyrotechnics as you can fit into a performance.

In 2024, Excision will embark on his biggest, most ambitious tour yet, Nexus, bringing his signature bass music and cutting-edge stage technology all across North America. For the first time, fans in every city will be getting the full Excision concert experience.

DJ, producer and festival creator Excision (Jeff Abel) resides at the epicenter of an ever-expanding realm of the Bass Music genre. Hailing from Kelowna, British Columbia, Abel is a pioneer of the North American Dubstep scene with over 17 years of relentless touring, cultivating a huge, passionate community at shows and festivals around the world. His expansive discography traverses a wide range of bass sounds across five full-length studio albums, countless EPs and singles, 17 annual fan-favorite mixes and numerous live recordings, amassing well over 2 billion streams globally.

Under his event production arm Excision Presents, he has created world-renowned music festivals like the prehistoric juggernaut Lost Lands, breathtaking Bass Canyon, beach resort fest Paradise Blue, and major regional concerts like The Thunderdome of Seattle, The Armory in Minneapolis, Mile High in Denver, The Stadium in Los Angeles and more. These branded events combine to bring out hundreds of thousands of headbangers each year. Broader audiences can also catch Excision headlining at legendary festivals such as EDC Las Vegas, Ultra, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo and Shambhala.

On the recording side, Excision founded Subsidia Records in 2020 as a followup to his previous imprint Rottun Recordings. Subsidia continues to release groundbreaking tunes from emerging artists with a goal of celebrating and pushing forward the wide breadth of subgenres that culminate in bass music. The label has provided release opportunities for over 100 producers, introducing them to new fans and fostering their continued growth as artists.

Excision's influence can be felt in every facet of the industry. Though he has already established a legendary brand, he is continually striving to help the community grow. Last year, he launched the Bass Music Initiative which sponsored ten up-and-coming bass artists with funds and support to help them advance in their music careers. He says, "Everything I do is focused around the mission of helping Bass Music grow, while still staying true to itself. We have such a caring and loving group of people involved within this scene, and I hope the music will help more people find their home within it."

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. The people that were working were extremely helpful and nice, the production was great, sound quality is beyond amazing. This was the second show I’ve ever seen at this venue and it is by far my favorite venue for raves. Perfect. All around perfect. 100/10.

Phenomenal shows and lineup. Cfg arena hadn't experienced ravers yet and it shows. They need to make every ticket ga and let people roam around the building. Let us bring in hydropaks and have refill stations. LET US PARTY RESPONSIBLY

An Epic Night Out With Family !

by Aaron Neuner on 3/30/24The Andrew J Brady Music Center - Cincinnati

From being an old school fan of Techno, House, Club, Rave, EDM, Bass & Drum, Dance Music. Well this night was not only special, inwhich was a belated birthday gift to my older brother who just had two open heart surgeries. But a celebration of him being a survivor and living life, so not only for my brother's sake, but Excision and his awesome set made it an epic night to remember ! Having been to other DJ sets inside and out in either the sun / rain. I have to say that i admire that venues sound system, lighting and visual effects. From laser lights, to shooting out fire flames making X's on stage to represent "Excision". I highly recommend going to one of his shows when he comes to your town or just travel to see his live set, worth every penny. My brother said he loved every minute of it and it was his best concert he's ever attended and I have to agree !

    Phenomenal

by Jessica on 3/30/24The Andrew J Brady Music Center - Cincinnati

This even was amazing! The only thing I think could be improved is have a short break between DJs rather than just before Excision (headliner) because half the crowd went to the bathroom and once you got done Excision had already started and it was impossible to get a spot close to what you had. Overall, it was a very fun experience!

    Almost perfect

by ExcisionFan2012 on 3/30/24The Andrew J Brady Music Center - Cincinnati

Every year I see at least one Excision show and every year Jeff’s sets just get better and better. The visuals get more stimulating, the lasers double in number, the bass gets deeper, and the energy gets heavier. My only complaint for the show was that FYU wasn’t played, it was the song I was most anticipating.

    Excision in Cinci

by Usaficeman on 3/30/24The Andrew J Brady Music Center - Cincinnati

this was a 11/10 show for me and my friends! From the opener Drinkurwater to Layz to Ray Volpe, Atliens and Follow it all up by excision!!! An incredible line up and each and every artist had an incredible set! Everyone threw down! it wasn’t overcrowded like some shows where you can’t move an inch. The visuals were mesmerizing! I couldn't stop staring at the screen as they were so engaging and beautiful! They are in fsct 3D for anyone who wonders. and if you have any doubts about going. Remove them immediately and go I promise you will not be disappointed! 11/10 show and look forward to the next Excision tour!

    Mind Blowing

by Kimp on 3/27/24Armory - Minneapolis

I have become an Excision fan in the last few years, but have only seen small local EDM events. I have wanted to see an Excision show ever since discovering him, and all I can say is "Mind Blown"! Everything was amazing...the venue (The Armory) was beautiful, and everyone was so nice! We were having such a fun night, but when Excision came on I was spellbound! The lights....the sound....everything was amazing, and I already can't wait to go again next year!

    Amazing Night with Excision

by ddemarcore on 3/27/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

I'm a festival guy. I go to EDCLV, ULTRA, Tomorrowland...I have seen Excision many times, but never in a small venue like MGM. I felt like I was at a private event ..very memorable. AND..the total plus..Boston has always had no #PLUR or positive rave #vibe. This night changed that..everyone was respectful of each other ..aside from a random Asian kid, high and pushing through the crowd🤣😎.

    by Anne-Sophie on 3/25/24Place Bell - Laval

it was really great as expected! our section was sold out, but we still had room to headbang as we wanted! only thing was that the the venue wasnt made so there could be lasers on the sides like a saw at other venues but it still was great!

    Amazing experience

by Alliecat on 3/25/24UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island

Excision was Amazing!!!! Great music with great visuals and special effects… my only issue with the event was that the opening acts were so long and excision came out so late. I noticed that many people had left the venue before he was even done. But overall it was a great experience
