About

Alternative rock/metal band Drowning Pool rocked countless fans at the 2001 Ozzfest Tour, helping propel their debut album Sinner to platinum status in just six weeks. That good news shortly turned tragic following the death of lead singer Dave Williams, but the ever-resilient Drowning Pool has continued to sell tickets under a revolving list of singers, including Jason Jones (2003-2005), Ryan McCombs (2005-2011) and Jasen Moreno (2011-Present). The band is considered one of the best metal bands in concert and have played on multiple Ozzfest Tours. They released their fifth studio album, "Resilience," with new singer Moreno in 2013. "Resilience" features "In Memory Of..." dedicated to the late singer Williams and released on the 10th anniversary of his death, as well as "Saturday Night" and "One Finger and a Fist," which both will be popular at upcoming shows.

Drowning Pool formed in Dallas, Texas, in the second half of the 1990s with guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce. After releasing the platinum-selling "Sinner," Drowning Pool recorded one album with Jason Jones ("Desensitized") before doing two recordings ("Full Circle" and "Drowning Pool") with McCombs. After McCombs decided to rejoin SOiL (who he previously recorded and played with), Drowning Pool connected with Moreno, who joined the band on the road and in-studio in New Jersey for the recording of "Resilience." Drowning Pool is a band that continues to overcome incredible and sometimes horrific obstacles, such as the death of singer Dave Williams; yet they continue to trend forward and serve as one of modern rock's best live acts.

Great time, great energy, reasonably priced.

by Brandon on 4/17/24Crown Uptown Theatre - Wichita

I was suspect about the venue, hadn’t been to Crown Uptown in probably 30 years. For a smaller, more intimate concert it was great. Enough tables and chairs in the back if you wanted to sit and great acoustics and atmosphere in the room. Bands were full of energy starting with the openers all the way through. Thought it was great a local band, (Nuclear Football) got to showcase their talents as well and they sounded much better than most opening acts. Headliners were great as well. Overall a really good time.

Fantastic concert. We had a blast. We are glad we got to see drowning pool, any given sin, and salvia. Nuclear football was a great band to hear. Hope they keep going on with career.

    Outstanding, thank you Saliva.

Drowning Pool, Saliva, and Any Given Sin was absolutely amazing. Saliva gave time to sign autographs and pictures, I truly appreciate because I've never met anyone I've ever listened to. Fan for life now. I definitely appreciate them all coming to small town Pineville. One it was a outdoor venue with no pyro, that's a huge plus with someone like myself with PTSD. It's the only concerts I can see without tripping out. So a huge thank you from this war veteran, it means more than you will ever know. Josey Scott signed my multi cam cap, and wrote "click click boom "as requested. The reason is this is my 20 th anniversary of losing my friend in Iraq, and I will be finally visiting his grave site for the first time. Our war song was "click click boom."The cap Josey Scott signed will be left at my friend's grave site. I didn't explain this to Mr. Scott, because he was busy with the fans and the line was extremely long. So yeah thank you.

    Hard driving metal

by Bob on 4/16/24Tall Pines Distillery - Pineville

They were amazing. Full of energy. Not a band that "phones it in". Hard driving from start to finish. Perfectly paired with Saliva.

    Great experience and great venue!

by Pooksdad66 on 4/16/24Tall Pines Distillery - Pineville

Had a blast! Well run event from entry to exit. The venue was awesome for being out in the middle of nowhere. Awesome sound system, light system, and the stage wasn't empty for long between bands. All three of the bands played their hearts out and were "studio tight". All in all, a great show!

    Drowning Pool

    by E. C. on 4/3/22Aura - Portland

(HED) P. E. Stole the show and were great. The other 4 of the five bands that played that night were lacking is many areas. Quite surprise the poor turn out for the show. First time at Aura for a show that I was at where the balcony wasn’t opened.

Mash pit was excellent. Nobody got hurt. Lost my phone jumping around. It was picked up and turned in. I got it back unbroken. Was an amazing show!!!

Venue was good. I would not go see the band again. I would go see another group at aura though.
