In 2012, the legendary DJ Fresh set the world on its ear when his hit track “Louder” became the first ever dubstep song to top the UK singles chart. The album, Nextlevelism, included the singles “Hot Right Now” with Rita Ora, another No. 1 hit, and “The Power,” which paired DJ Fresh with the rapper Dizzee Rascal. The album formed the cornerstone of a highly successful tour, where DJ Fresh’s live concerts electrified fans. Growling and rumbling dubstep basslines formed the foundations over which guest vocalists showcased their skills. As a DJ and performer, DJ Fresh is a master who is known worldwide as one of the foremost innovators in both dubstep and drum and bass.

DJ Fresh was one of the founding members of Bad Company, a genre-defining drum-and-bass super-group that established the sound in the late 1990s. Bad Company released the classic track, “The Nine,” which is regarded by some as the greatest drum-and-bass track of all time. Now, as part of his ongoing plan for global dubstep domination, DJ Fresh also brings his playlists to the masses on the second Friday of every month through a radio residency on Capital XTRA. Whether it is as a producer, a DJ, a collaborator or a performer, DJ Fresh has his finger on the pulse of dubstep music.
