About

Inspire Today. Imagine Tomorrow.

Here at Columbus Children’s Theatre (CCT), our mission is to inspire, enrich and empower the imaginations of children and their families through live theatre and theatre education.

At Columbus Children's Theatre we educate and involve young people of all backgrounds in the theatre arts through our 3 core programs; Performance Series, CCT Academy and Professional Touring Company. Through our programs we foster self-esteem and self-discovery by emphasizing discipline, integrity, team-building, and communication skills in a positive and creative environment. We promote access to theatre arts for families who do not have regular opportunities to appreciate theatre in their lives because of either economic, cultural, or other barriers.

    Best show yet at CCT

The actors playing Winnie & Tuck were breathtakingly perfect for their parts as was the rest of the cast. Fantastic to watch the sparkle in their eyes!

    Good family fun

by Super Dad on 2/11/19Park Street Theatre - Columbus

Great night out for a family with young children. My child is 5. This was her first theatre experience. She was timid as first due to the volume and proximity to the stage. Once she got accommodated she had fun. Lots of singing / dancing to hold children’s attention. The overall theatre is small so there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We could’ve sat further back, saved some $, and still had a great time.

    Pete the Cat

by Grandma Jane on 2/5/19Park Street Theatre - Columbus

Pete the Cat was a great musical for our 6 year old granddaughter. The actors were believable and very engaging. Music was fun. All the ushers and staff at the theater were very friendly and welcoming. Love the fact that we can meet the characters after the show and get pictures and autographs. My granddaughter hugged her autographs, closed her eyes, and said "I will always remember!" How great is that! Your theater is the best spent dollar in Columbus! Sorry I did not know about it when my own children were small. This was our third play at CCT and have loved them all!!

My granddaughter and I both thought that this was one of the best places we’ve seen at the children’s theater. The actors were excellent and the stage lighting sounds and props were excellent.

It was great to share the story of Mary Poppins with my granddaughter at the CCT performance. The young people in the cast did an amazing performance. Singing and dancing was so much fun to watch. My granddaughter loved it. We will return for future plays.

    Mary Poppins

by Anonymous on 9/16/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

I would recommend this if the audio is upgraded. Actors were barely audible. When they sang the music completely played over their voices. I heard several people in the theater say the same thing. Did detract from the experience.

    Another knockout!

by micheej on 8/7/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

Once again, these kids crushed it! I had to keep telling myself "there just teenagers", but professional actors 100%. Urinetown, not the a typical musical- but quirky, funny and engaging. The troupe makes it endearing. This is the secon year I have had the chance to see the advance academy offering- can't wait for next years production.

    TOTALLY FUN!!!!!

by M2lee on 7/16/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

So spot on!!! The Jr troupe just totally shined, with lots of comedy, spoofing, and energetic and utterly joyful singing and dancing AND...... roller-skating!!!! The dialogue was witty, the casting perfect, great leads for Sonny and "Olivia" and the whole "Greek chorus" ..... and our kids especially enjoyed the gorgeous Pegasus chariot, the crazy dancing Cyclops... and that Centaur who was dancing next to them too! We had two kids, almost 5 and 7, their mom, 35+, and we two 70+ yr olds just rocking in our seats!!!! We are so delighted and still singing those great ELO songs.....so wonderfully arranged for this show!!!.....Every event we have attended here has been super!!! .....This is our third one and we can't wait for the next one! THANK YOU!!!!!

    Willy Wonka Kids was Exceptional

by Yaya1965 on 7/2/18McConnell Arts Center - Worthington

The actors are all between the ages of 8 and 11 years. The play is short 30 minutes, so perfect for introducing a young one to the theatre. It is a very professional performance.
