I had never seen REO or Chicago before so that was fun. I thought REO was great. Chicago on the other hand I really did not enjoy all that much. It was nothing to do with them, I just didn't know the music as well as I thought so it was hard to enjoy for me.
After years of going through the motions, Chicago was crisp and energetic. Very enjoyable! REO Speedwagon, however, should consider retiring. It was like a bunch of old dudes playing lullabies. The lead singer had his daughter come sing one of REO's hits--BAD IDEA! people are paying money to see you perform, don't give them your wannabe kid.
As for chicago i was disappointed! Allthe older songs which i like was played the last part of the concert
I think this was disappointing. It was advertised meet and greet and photo op. We were brought in to stand on a bleacher to get our picture, didn't get introductions or to talk to the guys. No socializing after pictures or anything. Not worth the money.
REO Speedwagon was amazing but I wasn’t too impressed with Chicago this time. Started out with new songs that were not of interest. Should have stuck to original songs. But still sounded good.
REO WAS AMAZING! However, Chicago not so much. we ended up leaving around 9:30pm due to it. Chicago should of been the opening act for Reo. I've always loved chicago, but I felt as if I was at a band concert at a high school.
Saw both groups in same venue 2-3 years ago & it was amazing! Made this a girls trip & had talked it up greatly & we were truly disappointed. REO was good but Chicago played lots of new material that no one knew; by middle of their show, at least half the crowd had left. We stayed in anticipation of both groups playing together at the end of the show, as they had the last time that we had seen them but that never happened. Truly unhappy with the show, left very disappointed & will not purchase tickets for any return shows.
REO did a great job as always. Disappointed with Chicago. They lost the crowd from the beginning.
Chicago was absolutely terrible. We left during the 5th song which we had never heard any of them at this point . Very disappointed! Should have let REO Speedwagon play the entire time.
Chicago conducted an experiment They need to rethink their hypothesis. REO Was great. No complaints about them. Chicago played here Chicago 2 album in it’s entirety. It was horrible, discordant And unlistenable. We stuck it out as long as we could, but left long before they got to any of their recognizable songs. Shame on them.
