The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing at Town Hall

by DDM on 9/22/22Town Hall - New York

I have attended a number of Broadway by the Year shows, but I think this one was my favorite yet! Virtually every number, be it dancing, singing or both, was a showstopper. The amazing Danny Gardner choreographed the many dance numbers and performed in at least half of them. Don't know where he gets all the energy and creativity, not to mention the talented troupe of dancers he has assembled. Kendrick Jones was also a standout, giving a master class on tap dancing. I had the perfect seat--center balcony second row with an unobstructed view of the stage. I knew it was going to be a wonderful show, but this surpassed my expectations. It will be a hard act to follow next season.

    A Great Night Out

by Rex on 9/22/22Town Hall - New York

What a very New York and fun experience. The audience was not full of tourists (for a change) and it made for a relaxed atmosphere full of fun. Many in the audience had a theater connection which seemed to relax the performers. They were natural and gave it their all. Once In a while there was a mistake here or there but that is what made it feel real. I walked out feeling entertained and proud to be a native New Yorker enjoying a good time with fellow residents.

This was the best Broadway by the Year I’ve ever seen. It was due to all of the dancing which was great.

The May 20 Broadway By the Year was the best one I've seen. The talent was amazing, the music great and the addition of the dancers was wonderful.

    Town Hall

by Jolietyler on 3/29/19Town Hall - New York

Although some of the songs from these Broadway shows were before my time I found the show very enjoyable. The cast members were all very talented and we had great seats so really enjoyed that fact which is something not doable on most of the new Broadway shows now.

    Broadway by the Year - 1943, 1951

by Ann O. Coughlin on 3/28/19Town Hall - New York

"Broadway By the Year" is always such an enjoyable experience and this was, too! The extra surprise was the addition of dancers for Oklahoma! Scott Seigel's clever commentary is spectacular. We did not know about his bicycle accident, but wish him continued healing! The singers were all talented, but as a soprano in the Greenwich Choral Society, I especially enjoyed the soprano and tenor who sang "People Will Say We're in Love"! We will be looking forward to the next "Broadway..."
