About

BOB MOSES IN CONCERT:

Bob Moses has gone from underground buzz band to festival favorite thanks to a darkly seductive house sound that combines top-notch songwriting skills with electronic production techniques. Meshing guitar licks, a moody smolder and a dash of dance-floor ambience with lyrical depth and classic songwriting, the duo created a sound that appeals equally to club goers and rock music fans. Translating their sound seamlessly to the live performance realm, years of nonstop global touring - including appearances at every major festival from Glastonbury and Coachella, to EDC, Lollapalooza and beyond - cemented the duo's reputation as a must see live act. A standout performance on The Ellen Show, a pair of nominations at both the Junos and the Grammys (and a Grammy win), and a top 15 US Alternative radio hit with "Tearing Me Up," have further sealed the band's burgeoning mainstream success.

May 2018 saw the announcement of a headline US tour and the release of track "Heaven Only Knows," the first new music from the next exciting phase for Bob Moses.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Bob Moses, the Vancouver-bred duo consisting of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance, came to life in the Brooklyn underground scene in 2012. Early single releases on taste-making electronic label Scissor & Thread led to signing with Domino and the late 2015 release of their debut album Days Gone By.

    Bob Moses killed it!!!!

by Randall on 10/9/23Emo's Austin - Austin

Been a fan for a few years but never seen them live. Tom and Jimmy bring such good energy and the supporting band did not disappoint. Biggest surprise was the INXS cover. They crushed it! By far the best show I have seen in 2023!

    Disappointing

by Saf on 10/9/23Emo's Austin - Austin

Bob Moses only played for one hour and transitioned between house and rock band throughout the one-hour set, leaving the crowd confused and disappointed.

    Brief but excellent show.

by Tom on 12/12/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Bob Moses was an act St Louis was dying to see for a long time! But...the show wasn't well promoted, so most people I knew who were Bob Moses fans were unaware of the show. Also, there was no merch. I've been going to concerts for 40 years and never seen a headline act, no matter how small the venue or the city not have merch? Now, the show was scheduled to start at 9:10. Due to tech problems, the show started an hour late, and due to the 11:45 time limit, the show really couldn't go quite as long as it should have. However, Jimmy and Tom did come out and address the crowd and thank them for their patience, though to be honest, the crowd was a surprisingly older crowd, and not the type to freak out over delays, so everyone in the audience took it in stride. On to the show; Bob Moses was a full touring band and not just Tom and Jimmy, so you got that full rocking sound you get from a full band, and accoustics in Delmar Hall are quite good, so the sound quality was excellent, and Bob Moses put on I think the best sow they could given circumstances beyond their control. Everyone left wanting more, and hopefully Bob Moses will remember this night and not skip over St Louis on the next tour.

    Danced my Butt Off

by Dawn on 12/11/22XL Live - Harrisburg

A phenomenal show. The opening act really got us warmed up and ready for the main act. They had me dancing all night long. It was great to meet the artists after the show. Very down-to-earth guys. So glad we went to the show. Would totally go see them again.

Fantastic venue. I could not be happier with the hall. The energy was amazing and everyone had a great time. Bob Moses is underrated and the duo partied with all of us! I would definitely see them again and also drive the 5 hours to see another concert at XL Live!

    Waited Forever

by I M Old on 12/10/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

Technical Difficulties with the sound equipment prevented me from staying to watch the show. It took a very long time to fix the issue. I’m sure it was fantastic, though. Wish I could have stuck around, but I was bored and it was getting too late to wait.

Good concert, but hadn’t known they had changed their style

by C-Los on 4/8/22Big Night Live - Boston

I mean Bob Moses is one of the best; however, I was disappointed to see that they switched to a sort of deep / alt rock genre! I respect their talent, but the music wasn’t what I was expecting…
