The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic
band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist
and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose
long associated with Sublime's music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the
spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute
bands is that they have replicated Sublime's essence, developing a scene and dedicated
following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark
on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have,
or did, but as Badfish does.

Classic tunes, excellent energy and for 20 dollars at the door you can’t possibly regret it!
Great show they really keeping the Sublime spririt alive while I’m sure they must get tired of playing the same songs over and over for the past 20 years lol they did a great job forreal though I see why they are so popular.. will def see them again if I have the chance… also BK bowl is dope great venue thank you for not kicking me out when you caught me toking up lol
Absolutely phenomenal show. Badfish was epic, Grieves was the warm-up, and he and his cohort was equally as amazing. The ambience and crowd were 10 out of 10. Fun, respectful, diverse, friendly. I can’t wait to go to another show at this venue, especially now that I know locals get 24 hour free parking!
Saw Badfish on a boat in the Hudson 20 years ago, and Phoenix in 2024 was through the roof! Fresh!
I’ve been going to bad fish shows since like 2009 maybe even before then and they never disappoint.
There are a handful of Sublime cover bands, but Badfish really nail it. They sound nearly identical to Sublime and the music is timeless. The venue (Brooklyn Bowl) is awesome and you can get right up to the stage if you want. The bar on the side stage is elevated so you get great views from there as well. Both opening acts were solid and it was a great night. Plenty of bars outside the venue to get your pre-game rolling. If you haven't seen this band and you like Sublime music, make a point to see them, you won't regret it!!
Loved the whole concert and the opening bands. Badfish was amazing and played all the songs the way they were written, without improvising (they way it should be). The trumpeteer was an amazing musician, playing trumpet, guitar, electronic horn, synth, and with a great voice --- all done with amazing energy. Bass player was spot on and brought his A+ game. I'd see them again when they come around.
Attending their show will be leaving it to chance and that isn’t something I’ll ever choose again. Post Covid, I wanted to make attending shows a priority and was excited to see Badfish again. The show included two very long opening acts which felt like forced attendance and the tickets said “7pm” for Badfish. It was 9:45 and Badfish hadn’t started. By then, my feet hurt and I was over it. I essentially paid for two tickets to not watch Badfish. 😕
Took a couple friends, We had a great time! Baddish is one of my favorite bands! they did not disappoint!!
