I have been going to this fest for 6+ years. Last year we were disappointed it got cancelled due to Covid. However, I hung on to my tickets in hopes 2021 would be the year & it was! This was moved to an outside venue at Bader Field. The convention center was a vaccine center & the hope was being outside would be safer. Breweries were spaced far apart which led to a lot more walking. A storm threatened to ruin the Friday night session but it passed quickly. We also went to the Sat night session. It was more mellow & low key. I had trouble finding some people I know due to the size of the venue. My main complaint was transportation. At the convention center, when you exit, there is a line of cabs waiting. I never had to wait. At this venue there were no cabs, all of the jitneys were privately booked and trying to get an Uber or Lyft on Sat night was nearly impossible (if you were lucky to get one, you could expect to pay $50). We had to walk awhile before I was finally able to flag a cab down on the side of the highway. If they have it at Bader Field again, I may actually reconsider going again due to this unless they can fix the issue. Over all, I would prefer to see it back at the convention next year due to weather, amount of walking, can't see hardly anything once it gets dark outside, etc etc BUT with all that said, it was so good to get out and see people's smiling faces & drink good beer!
