Puppet Magic at it"s Best!
Ivy Substation - Los Angeles
A fresh new show with lots of audience participation. Master puppeteer Ronnie Burkett varies which acts he uses and what exactly happens with the help of feedback from the audience! This adult show had everyone in stitches laughing so hard! Much excitement was added to the show with the unknown factor of what audience participants will do or say...

Ronnie Burkett is brilliant!

Ronnie Burkett's Theatre of Marionettes: The Daisy Theatre is incredible! Funny, poignant, naughty, nothing short of genius. Ronnie performs every character with great joy, talent and skill. I don't know why so many people think that puppets are just for kids, Ronnie brings the joy of puppetry to an adult theme. I wish he would play in LA for weeks - I know so many people who would love the show but sadly it's almost over. I hope he comes back!!

Art is good.

Lovely work of theatre. Astonishing tour de force, one man portrays all the characters. Thoughtful, funny, poetic, lovely.

worst ever seen
Macgowan Hall Little Theater - Los Angeles
We saw him in Toronto in June. He was amazing, funny and we enjoyed it immensely. We took 9 other people to this based upon what we saw in Toronto. We all felt that this was the most depressing, overwhelming, performance we have ever seen. My daughter (35) is still feeling the effects of this. We did appreciate him as a puppeteer, performer and that he had made all the puppets and wrote the show. I would ask for our money back, but that would be futile.

Ronnie Burkett is a wonderful talent
Macgowan Hall Little Theater - Los Angeles
Ronnie Burkett's show is astonishingly simple--one man on stage with a cast of marionette puppets. But his storytelling technique is captivating. He holds the audiences attention, providing all of the voices of the characters. It's an odd story about the end of the world, a talking dog, his owner (an old lady) and Gepetto. Ronnie is an adept performer and puppeteer who creates his own little world and populates it with some very interesting characters.

Great marionettes, so-so story
Macgowan Hall Little Theater - Los Angeles
Outstanding puppeteering and marionette design. No question - this guy knows his way around a puppet stage. That said, the script tries entirely too hard to make a statement and just comes across as incredibly pretentious, one-note, and at times downright boring. Many of the scenic moments that were clearly meant to blow our minds fell far short of their goal. Also, the Chihuahua character came across as more than a little stereotypical without any sense of irony.

Remarkable in every respect. I was blown away! Most unusual artist/performer.
