The kids thought it was great. They have been talking about it since the event. Even did show and tell. They liked the robots, jet propelled quad and the RC show too. It was cool meeting all the drivers in the pits before the competition. We think the judge's scores were a little questionable! We loved Grave Digger but he didn't win anything. Better luck next time.
The arena was small and the track was asphalt. For our first time to a Monster Jam, it was alot of fun, very entertaining. Next time we will choose one with a dirt track to get the full effects of the climbing/wheelies/donuts, not just driving over cars. We had a great time regardless!!
Overall I was highly disappointed as it was nothing like I expected per reviews, pictures and advertisments. It was VERY SLOW moving and felt they were dragging it out just to make it a two hour show. It was hard to stay awake, not what I would have thought being at a Monster truck show! No choreography with smoke, music, lights, etc.. It seemed the arena may not have been the best but not sure what to compare it to just know it was not like pictures I saw with lots of dirt and running around. Do not have it at an arena if it does not meet the needs or make up for it with some other form of entertainment such as lights and smoke, sound, etc.
It was a good show. My son had a great time. The arena was small for the trucks to get up to speed. They were still able to maneuver and do some great jumps and car crushing. We had third row upper level seats and I feel that I got my bang for my buck. Not sure if I would of felt the same if I had paid for the lower seats.The look on my sons face when grave Digger came out with his red lights on was priceless. Very cool!
-Loud so remember ear plugs, kind of slow moving, would be better in a bigger arena, but great for my boys they LOVED it! Age 3 and 5
It was a great time. Really enjoyed it. Only negative I have is that the Van Andel is to small so they couldn't get on the trucks very hard. But it was still a blast to see them.
The monster trucks were AWESOME! My 4.5 year old loved them.
Monster Jam was Awesome! My 3 kids loved it :) I wasn't too impressed with the Van Andel seating though...Really packed. Everyone had to stand up so you could get to the stairs. The event itself rocked though!
This was a great time for me and my kids. I just wish that there was more room, there was some cool tricks that were missed out on due to the limited space.
The men Really enjoyed it, the women in our group had a fun time. I would love to bring the Grandsons, I think they would love it. They did a lot of things in between that would be great for boys. It is definitely loud so be sure & bring ear plugs or buy some there, even the adults were wearing them.
