Nick Offerman on Tour
As fans of his Parks and Recreation role as plaid-shirted public servant Ron Swanson are aware, Nick Offerman is easily America's most entertaining woodworker. Even more of this comedic carpenter's skills, which include storytelling and songwriting, will be on display when Offerman hits the road for 2019's All Rise – American Humorist tour.
The trip follows his saucy 2017 Full Bush tour and sex-centric two-person 2016 traveling show, Summer of 69: No Apostrophe, with wife Megan Mullally. Offerman describes All Rise as "an evening of deliberative talking and light dance that will compel you to chuckle whilst enjoining you to brandish a better side of humanity than the one to which we have grown accustomed. Come on down and hear the good news that will make you go jingle-jangle in your juice box."
Nick Offerman Background
Nick Offerman's professional acting career began around 1991 in his home state of Illinois. Following film appearances in Sin City, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous, and The Men Who Stare at Goats, Offerman's career took off when he joined the cast of Amy Poehler's NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation in 2009.
Before the show concluded in 2015, his portrayal of a straight-faced, meme-generating libertarian carpenter had earned Offerman the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. Subsequent roles have included his portrayal of McDonald's co-developer Dick McDonald in The Founder and the rocking dad in feel-good father-daughter drama Hearts Beat Loud.
On the printed page, Offerman has mixed wit and wisdom in The Greatest Love Story Ever Told (with Megan Mullally), Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Fundamentals for Delicious Living, Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom With America's Gutsiest Troublemakers, and Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Workshop.
But that's not all. The persuasive polymath sings songs devoted to online entities Facebook and Siri on a homemade ukulele, while the instructional DVD Fine Woodstrip Canoe Building with Nick Offerman attests to his boat-making expertise.

It was a very nice event. Nick and Betsy were hilarious and interesting. I was hoping to ask a question, but I didn't know you had to submit them over the app after scanning some code. Lesson learned.
What a fun evening! It was like sitting around with a good friend - relaxed, easy, good for the soul. The rapport between Nick Offerman and Betsy Kling was warm and familiar, you would think they are old friends. I wish it could have been longer!
The audience was so noisy in general, and the people behind us talked loudly throughout the program that it was difficult to hear much. My husband has read some of Nick’s books so he was more attuned to the content and enjoyed it immensely. I didn’t find him particularly interesting.
I honestly thought Nick Offerman would offer commentary that would be more cerebral and thought provoking. He’s a smart guy and knows smart and talented people. I listen to his podcasts. But performance topic not engaging and ongoing dialogue about butt licking could have been much shorter. Would not go see him again.
Saw American Ham and Summer of 69 a few years ago and I'm so glad I got to see him again!!! Never disappoints and brings me hope that good people are out there. His humor and insights are inspirational
A humorist of platinum quality. Hubby and I had a great time seeing Offerman perform. An entertaining mix of music and story, both based in the comedy of life.
Absolutely loved everything about Nick Offerman and his show. He is one of a kind and I genuinely wish there were more people like him and who shares his view on life. My only complaint is that I wanted more...I wanted a longer show!
I wasn't sure what to expect for this show. It was a great experience. Nick is humorous and entertaining. I would 100% invite him to a dinner party because there would be great conversation. Couchiching.
I have known Nick Offerman only from his acting career. Seeing him in this venue, I was assuming he would be delivering a stand up comedy show. But, as he explained, he isn't a comedian. He is a humorist. His witty songs and takes on life were amusing and entertaining. I enjoyed the show, but for those expecting Ron Swanson there may have been some disappointment. He wove anecdotes into songs, and songs into anecdotes. There wasn't a consistent theme, just a stream of consciousness talk. If you like Offerman and want to see him play the minstrel, enjoy!
