Joan Baez concert
Beacon Theatre - New York
She sang, we listened, got choked up with “Deportees” she about a dozen Dylan songs, but did not sing “the Niggt they Drove Old Dixie Down”! 3 encores, she played close to 2 hours! She is a gift to us from heaven, may she stay forever young!

Still Beautiful After all These Years
Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville
Joan Baez gave a beautiful performance of both old and new songs, including some classics like Diamonds and Rust and Forever Young. She engaged the audience and explained the meaning behind the songs. Although she admits there are some notes she cannot reach, her voice is strong and lovely. Her backup players and co-singer were also great. She started on time (no opening act) and played for a solid two hours at the age of 78. You are beautiful Joan. Fare thee well.

Wonderful concert and so needed these days. Transcendent
Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville
Joan Baez concert April 2019: Every single moment was exquisite. I appreciate Joan’s wisdom, experience, love for earth, people, peace, the environment, collaboration among peoples of the world. Her songs, singing, music and collaboration with the people performing with her and with the audience are inspiring, and encouraging the belief we peoples of the world and earth can do and be infinitely better. Here’s to hope and to stepping up for a loving, fair, wise and kind world where sense of wonder, peace and love live and encircle earth and the world.

It was a wonderful concert.
Atlanta Symphony Hall - Atlanta
Obviously, Joan Baez can't hit all the notes she once could but she stills puts on a highly entertaining performance. She still sounds great and the history she presents between songs is enthralling.

Joan’s still got it!
Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville
Joan Baez May not be able to hit all the high notes anymore, but her voice, message and charisma are still all there! At her concert in Knoxville, she received at least 5 standing ovations.

Superlative
Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville
Joan Baez is a legend for a reason, and seeing her is an experience one would not want to miss, and even for some of us quite a spiritually stimulating event to relish in this harsh world. I enjoyed her music as much as her presence. I have always admired her activism first and foremost as well as the impact she has made and continues to make in the world. It was a wonderful experience despite my having to cut it slightly short due to back spasming and numb appendages. Her show brings a bright light of hope for us sensitive souls. She sang a song of gratitude about her life, and I am exceedingly grateful also.

My Words Fail Compared to Hers
Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville
Ms. Baez is a moving, gentle, spirit with an edge for social justice. I appreciate her sharing that with the world in song. I had only one night to have this experience with her. Everyone who has the opportunity to go see her in concert should do so.
