    Amazing musicianship, amazing show

by pasg on 3/11/24Moore Theatre - Seattle

Oliver writes and sings thought-provoking melodies and lyrics that transcend genre, Chris is a MONSTER on bass (upright and/or electric), and Jano is a master of the arsenal of instruments he plays. Together, they performed a show full of energy, pathos, and beauty that captivated the audience and made us an integral part of the whole experience. This was our ninth, and best, Wood Brothers show...here's to 10, 11, 12, ...

    Phenomenal Wood Brothers concert experience

by Mister Kim on 3/11/24Moore Theatre - Seattle

I've been to my share of concerts over the years. The Wood Brothers show at The Moore Theater in Seattle last Friday definitely qualifies as one of the best I've attended. The Wood Brothers were remarkably connected. Clearly, their experience in improvisational settings and jazz influences blend with the band's roots foundation in a unique and frankly difficult to categorize way. I'll admit that I really only knew a couple of the songs well going in (Sing About It and Luckiest Man), but every song played was genuinely engaging and musically interesting. The band's sustained level of performance was one of the best I've experienced. As a comparison, I'd rank this show with David Byrne's "American Utopia"tour from 2019 or so. IMHO, that was one of the best of the new millennium. If you have a chance to see these guys, do it. It's incredible really what they can generate as a trio. Jano Rix -- mind boggling what he can sonically accomplish playing drums and keyboards simultaneously. As an aside, my wife (who really had no idea who The Wood Brothers were initially) is now a new fan and has favorited the band on Spotify. LOL. Oh, and the opening act (the Rainbow Girls) was spot on as well. Well done team!

First Time and Not the Last I Will Attend their Concert

by Olivia on 3/4/24The Fillmore - San Francisco

My boyfriend and his family are big fans of the Wood Brothers, and I’ve grown really fond of their music. My boyfriend saw they had a somewhat close by performance happening and kindly bought the tickets for us. This was his third time seeing The Wood Brothers, and after that concert, I can definitely understand why. They not only perform incredible music that makes you want to move your feet and sway to the beat, but they put on a show. Their dancing is incredible, they were all so kind while talking in between songs, and their performance shows how well they know their instruments. I absolutely loved this concert and have not stopped talking about it with all my friends. I was blown away by their talent and musical skills. If you have not seen The Wood Brothers in concert before, and you enjoy a wonderful performance by incredibly talented musicians with amazing music, I highly recommend to hop on the opportunity to see The Wood Brothers perform. This was the first time I have attended their concert, and it definitely won’t be the last.

    Entertaining

    by RW on 3/2/24Rialto Theatre-Tucson - Tucson

These guys crossed my radar not long ago, and when they came to town I thought I would give them a shot. They play a wide variety of music which kept the audience engaged. I think they were listed as country, but that is a small portion of the show. Definitely rocked some songs and the few funk items they did were stellar. Well worth the price of admission

    Incredible Musicians

by CJ on 12/11/23The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

What an amazingly talented group. Truly authentic musicians pouring their heart and soul into their craft. I love the Charleston Music Hall. Only room for improvement would have been a standing General Admission versus seated. Other than that, the sound quality and production value were top notch.

    Serendipitous Discovery

by Don Juan Piezo on 12/9/23Iron City - Birmingham

A friend wanted to see the Wood Bros and I went along. The first song or two was not so notable. Then, after awhile, I started seeing why my friend wanted to see them. They're hard to pigeonhole into one category, because they meander around styles and genres effortlessly. Their musicianship is on point, but at once I was impressed by their vocal talents. At times, I imagined I was at a Three Dog Night concert. Their powerful voices never broke and the family harmonizing is hard to beat. I'm ready to see them again.

The Wood Brothers are spiritual guides!

by Tmac on 12/5/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

The Wood Brothers are superb songwriters, expert musicians with deep soul, and the best touring live act since the Grateful Dead … no joke. My opinion only of course, but it’s the same level of goosebumpy musical moments at the shows and a psychic buzz that last for hours afterward …. God Bless the Wood Brothers
