ROCK OF AGES on Tour

Tenth Anniversary Tour

Book by Chris D’Arienzo

Arrangements and Orchestrations by Ethan Popp

Broadway’s Best Party is turning up the volume to ten! The ROCK OF AGES Tenth Anniversary Tour is blazing across North America!

Nominated for five Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, ROCK OF AGES captures the iconic era that was the big bad 1980s Hollywood. Know What Love Is, Feel the Noise, and Take Your Best Shot at one of the Sunset Strip’s last epic venues, a place where the legendary Stacee Jaxx returns to the stage and rock-n-roll dreamers line up to turn their fantasies into reality.

Featuring the music of hit bands such as Styx, Poison, Twisted Sister, and Whitesnake among many others, this Tenth Anniversary production features a dynamic new cast revisiting the larger than life characters and exhilarating story that turned ROCK OF AGES into a global phenomenon.

This is one for the ages that will have you singing “Here I Go Again.”

“Absurdly enjoyable! About as guilty as pleasures get!” - The New York Times

“ROCK OF AGES is the power-ballad decade in all its glory, tricked out with big perms, bigger dreams, and the kind of operatic ecstasy you read about only in bathroom stalls.” - Entertainment Weekly

“Insanely fun! Rock and comedy in perfect proportion!” - Time Out New York

    Bring it back

    by Jim robertson on 12/1/23

This needs to tour, the crappy movie is long gone. The original energy felt on Broadway lives on in the power ballads. Need an investor?

    The most fun ever

    by Mia on 10/20/23

About ten years ago I saw Rock of Ages live and it was the most fun theatre experience I’ve ever had, and one of the most fun of any kind of entertainment I’ve ever experienced. (The movie was a major letdown.) I wish there were more professional traveling productions of it because I want to take my adult children to see it.

Can’t wait to see this a 4th time!

    by D. P. on 7/10/21

Like everyone else says, this is a great show and an awesome time. Every time it comes around, we see it. The stage design and cast may change, but the show does not disappoint. Bring your friends and sing along!

My husband and I thought it was fantastic. It was funny, witty and the songs were right on. The acting and singing were fantastic and the energy of the stage and audience was electric. I would absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Rock of Ages 10 Year Tour.

by Hardhobbit on 6/11/19Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Let my first statement be, I did enjoy the show. I was surprised to get a FB posting that this was coming to Buffalo and it was for one night only. I had previously seen this tour in 2013, and met the lead who played Drew. I was also fortunate enough to get seats in the first few rows. I found the stage to be clever, with the necessity to tear it down and put it up quickly from city to city. Listening to the actors, I found the music and vocals to be spot on, and enjoyable, with freshness added to the jokes and dialogue. Watching the show however, it did appear to me the actors were physically miscast. This was noticeable when they first appeared on stage. Drew and Sherry sang and performed flawlessly, but I thought these were the first two miscast as they deviated from my expectations of the characters. Stacee Jaxx I thought was also miscast, as the character appearance reminded me somehow of a rock and roll version of Rocky, from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The production itself, I wish was scheduled over a longer period of days, instead of the one night stand. Overall, it gave me the impression of a very good college performance. Our topic of discussion exiting the theater, was that this was a rushed tour put together for a night at a time, to have a 10 year anniversary tour. I own both the Broadway and movie versions of the sound track, and am very familiar with the show and its music, and this sound track is on my regular playlist. So, being familiar with the production, I did find the 2013 tour better. However, I still did enjoy this production and if the opportunity was there that it played over several nights, I would have attended again. If you like the music, if you like the decade, see this show. It's a great return to good times of the 80's. Go relive your youth !!!

This was such a fun show! The cast, the band, the 80's music .. everything was great about this show from start to finish. I even loved how some of the characters played to the audience. I would absolutely go see this show again and I'm glad I treated myself to some great seats.

    Disappointed

by J.Z. on 6/8/19Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Music was louder than the voices. Could not understand a word. Left after first intermission. Wouldn't recommend it.
