Absolutely Fantastic Show! GO! ;)
Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & The E Street Band NEVER fail regardless of personal setbacks; , place (venue Mohegan Sun Arena sound could be improved , Uncasville, CT), or thing! This show was postponed 2x & we were expecting nothing less than a stellar show because of it!! Well, that’s what they gave us! I’ve been seeing this rock icon & band play since my 1st show in 1980 & Ive fallen more in love each time! Song after song and story after story. Bruce literally spoke to us all in not only his personal storytelling, during the 2 hour and 45 (?) minute show, but in his enthusiasm to lift us up. “Come on RISE Up” he bellowed!! The band’s rapport with each other and the audience was palpable. It’s touching to watch them interact with each other so fluidly and honestly when the lights aren’t watching them. I see it & I felt it. A hug or a smile here & there exchanged amongst them. Man, I miss the big guy, Clarence on the horns, but his nephew ,Jake Clemons dulls that ache to perfection. As with other members that have passed, you feel their presence because Bruce wants you to. We won’t forget Danny Federici either. However, he wants you to have a great time dancing & singing and he’s adamant you will & you DO!! TBH, I miss his almost 5 hour shows of long ago for sure, but WHAT do you get now? Hours more than ANY show with people half his age! I go to ALOT OF SHOWS , trust me on this. He delivers us a show that is stripped down to the AMAZING E Street Band & him & his many guitars. Song after song barely skipping to take a breath let alone a sip of water! He generously gives of himself by physically interacting with the crowd shaking hands ; high five’s; and giving out his harmonica & more. With the price of admission,,which for “The Boss” is #WORTH IT, you are guaranteed a full night of a tremendous catalogue of music spanning his decades long career including all his biggest hits! If you are thinking about seeing him, STOP & just DO IT! Life is too darn short to keep saying ,,”oh, I’ll do it later…”! Where is Jimmy Buffet now? Jerry Garcia? Chris Cornell? Just GO & have a great time alone (plenty of die-hards there to tell you it’s their 80th show or 1st show - you won’t be “alone”! Grab ANYONE & just appreciate a night of LIVE MUSIC! Come on! Max Weinberg on the drums OMG THAT MAN is a beast! The horn section! Stevie “Silvio” Van Zant! Nils Lofgren spinning around playing! Sooooo much fun that I’m still SMILING & HAPPY! Thank you Mr. Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band & Mohegan Sun for this awesome experience because that’s EXACTLY what it IS/WAS!!!! Tremendous opportunity! Do NOT MISS OUT!

Awesome, intimate show
Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville
Been to several E Street Band concerts, and this was one of the best. Although we didn't know every song, we still had a blast. Seeing Bruce and the band in a smaller, 10,000 seat arena makes you feel like your up close near the stage no matter where you're seats are. Wish he did a true encore likes he usually does where they all leave the stage and then come back about 5-10 minutes later and play several more songs. Also, I feel like this was the shortest of his concerts I've been to, where he only played about 2 1/2 hours. Other than that, Bruce sounded great; the band sounded great; there was a great mix of songs; the vibe was awesome. As for the venue...it was great seeing such an awesome band in a small, intimate way. Love the smaller arenas!! Wish there was a better selection of food items. All we saw were concessions that sold beer/alcohol, and hot pretzels, nachos and popcorn. Also it was crazy trying to walk around where the concessions were because the lines at the windows were crazy. For one thing, it was mobs of people and no "true"lines so no one know who was behind who and who was next. A suggestion would be to have the ropes that wrap around so it confines large amounts of people in small spaces and allows for others to freely and easily walk past the concessions without bumping into people and walked through people standing in "line"for food and drinks.

Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville
Bruce was amazing as always! Although this concert was postponed twice, it was worth the wait! He sang “Trapped,” “Seeds,” & “Bobby Jean,” classics that we hadn’t heard in years!! This was my 45th Bruce concert & I’m already seeing him in my dreams, waiting for the next!

The acoustics of the venue did not disappoint! It was simply fantastic and there was not a bad seat in the house. I want to do it again!

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are regarded as one of the very best live rock acts of all time. From humble New Jersey beginnings in 1972, they grew in popularity to become one of the true icons of American music. Hits such as “Born In The USA” and “Dancing In The Dark” cemented Bruce Springsteen as one of America's top popular rock vocalists. He's known for being one of the hardest-working acts in the industry, and concerts can regularly last three hours or more and tours often last years rather than months.
Bruce Springsteen began his musical career singing and playing in a number of bands in the New Jersey area in the mid-‘60s. Influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Cream, his musical style was both a reflection of his own tastes and of his blue-collar working-class American roots. The mix of old-fashioned rock and roll with a more progressive, often politically minded lyrical style soon began to build a cult following for Springsteen. By 1972 he was signed to a deal with Columbia Records, along with the E Street Band. The band's members changed now and then over the years, but the core members were Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg. Together they released their first album, Greetings From Asbury Park NJ, in 1972.
While they enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, they were launched into the megastar category with the release of Born In The USA in 1984. The album stormed the US charts, becoming one of the biggest-selling records of all time with over 30 million albums sold. Bruce Springsteen became an American pop-culture icon and the band enjoyed huge success worldwide with sold-out stadium tours and numerous top 10 singles.
In 1999 Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and over the years the act has won numerous Grammy and Golden Globe Awards while continuing to rock at sell-out shows the world over. Bruce has always remained true to his roots, often turning down offers from corporate advertisers wanting to use his music for profit. His music has truly captured the American spirit over the years, which is why he has remained a much-loved and consistently popular musician for such a long time. Away from his on-stage commitments he is an activist for equal rights and runs a charity called The Foundation which helps support war veterans and food banks.
