Three World Class Guitarists in One Concert
Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge
Any time there is an opportunity to see elite musicians perform, do yourself a favor and don't pass it up. This concert with Sharon Isbin, Stanley Jordan and Romero Lumbambo demonstrated the colorful musical spectrum of guitar - the flow of cross genres that included classical Spanish, Brazilian, and classical with pop influence. Knowing that each one was an expert, it was liberating to sit back and let the Masters do what they do best. This is a concert that guitar lovers will adore, those who love classical, jazz, and world music will find enjoyable and those who are new to classical guitar will find embracing.

Guitar Passions artists were all great
Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge
All three artists were a pure delight when alone and with the others. A night of losing yourself in music.

Guitar passions
Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge
I wondered how performers of such different genre would put this program together. They did an excellent job letting each performer exhibit virtuosity separately as well as in combination. Though we went to hear Sharon Isben play classical guitar, the resulting blend of traditional classical, and contemporary jazz and bosa nova variations on the classical repertoire made an interesting and entertaining program.

guitar passions feat a feast
Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge
brilliant yet humble, those three artists came together for an unforgettable night of mellow, sophisticated, beautiful guitar music ranging from south america to germany. they played together in perfect harmony as if they always played as a trio. each having a very unique sound, distinguishable, together their music made my soul sing, my heart vibrate. i did not want the night to be over. having been to thousands of concerts in the course of my life, this was in the top ten ever.

Bardavon 1869 Opera House - Poughkeepsie
Didn't really know what to expect but it was quite a night of guitar music. Wasn't sure how classical and jazz would mesh but they pulled it off nicely. I wanted to expose my son to something different as a guitar player and that worked and he liked it and I think came away with some inspiration from the 3 of them. They all did a meet and greet in the lobby when it was over. That is always nice and is becoming popular now in the industry. That is a good thing. A very intimate night of different music and I would do that again.

Beautiful material; superlative musicianship, excellent audience rapport. I could have stayed another hour. The Bardavon sound system was perfect.
