About

Paul McCartney has been anything but idle during his post-Beatle years. In 1971 (within one year after the break-up of the Fab Four), McCartney formed the rock band Wings which would go on to produce numerous hit singles and enjoy strong album and ticket sales during the decade of its existence. Wings' most successful and highly acclaimed album, Band on the Run, stayed at the top of the U.S. Charts for four weeks and went triple platinum. Hit songs for the band include "Live and Let Die," "Band on the Run," "Jet," and "Silly Love Songs." McCartney proved, in the '80s, that his popularity with the public was still as strong as ever by embarking on a highly successful solo tour. Memorable collaborative songs were also produced in the '80s--"Say Say Say" and "The Girl is Mine" with Michael Jackson, and "Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder. In the '90s, he expanded his already impressive musical repertoire by composing two albums of classical works (Standing Stone and Working Classical) recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and, in the same decade, released an album of ambient, techno music under the pseudonym The Firemen. Other notable albums of his solo career are 1982's Tug of War (recorded with famed Beatles producer George Martin), his 1984 soundtrack for the film Give My Regards to Broad Street (which he also directed), and 1989's Flowers in the Dirt, and 1997's Flaming Pie. McCartney was honored with a Knightship in 1997.

    Love love love

Paul McCartney’s Freshen Up tour was the last concert I saw before the pandemic and Paul McCartney’s Got Back tour was the first concert I saw after the lockdowns were over. He was even better the second time around! I absolutely loved both concerts…it was a such a special experience and definitely the best concerts I’ve ever attended! 💕💕💕

    Greatest day ever!

    by A. B. on 4/26/23

I saw Paul McCartney in concert for the first time in North Carolina and it was the greatest day ever! I could've believe I got to see a Beatle live. If you get the chance to see him in concert, do it! You will not regret it. I'm definitely seeing him again when he goes on another tour.

    Gorgeous! Dreams can come true!

by Elly V Barbie on 2/4/23

Brilliant! This show was so deeply touching and just beautiful! As a lifelong hardcore Paul fan being able to witness his charisma, fingers working his legendary instruments, seeing and hearing his precious stories actually enjoying the beauty from his lips in real time straight to my heart was absolutely euphoric! I repeatedly kept saying aloud, “I cannot believe my eyes” while willing myself not to tear up too much so that I wouldn’t miss a moment of his electric presence. Too many cute, funny, gorgeous, kick ass moments to possibly list but it was so FIRE to feel the heat on our faces from the fireworks and explosions. I still get high off the exhilaration of having been able to see Paul live. This was truly a dream come true for me.

    Religious Experience

by Amy, My Dear on 1/7/23

I love The Beatles. They are my comfort. They are my juice. They are my meditation. I adore them. I just saw Paul for the first time. I see a ton of live shows. But the 50 songs he played - between the sound check and the main set - was too short. I'm not even sure what I saw. It was absolutely transcendent and completely satisfying. I can still cry about it, almost seven months later. There are famous people. There are rock stars. There are superstars. And then there's Paul. He's just amazing.

Go see this man while you can

    by Sef on 12/1/22

Went to the Fort Worth show on the Got Back tour. Paul still puts on an incredible concert. It was the best concert I’ve ever been to, and it was a dream come true to see my favorite Beatle. He played for 3 hours, no break. Played most of the Beatles and Wings songs I wanted to hear. He can still hit most of the notes, at 80 years old. Not to mention the light show was amazing. I’ll be seeing him on every tour he has from this point forward. Go see him, it’s so worth it and he won’t be around forever

This was a dream, no other words to describe it. I didn’t ever think I would get to be in a McCartney concert but my dream came true. I’ve never had so many emotions go through me in 2 hours. He put on an incredible performance and had great engagement with the fans. I hope I get to see him again. I loved that night and it will always be the greatest day of my life

Best concert I’ve ever been to! And I’ve been to a lot… would pay anything to see him again. His band was beyond perfect. Truly a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. I can’t talk about it without getting emotional.

    Concert

    by AirNike97 on 7/28/22Fenway Park - Boston

Paul himself was great but I thought the audio was not not so good. Seem like his voice was in the background and muted behind the music itself
