Pioneering the New Jack Swing style fusing electro-hip-hop production and contemporary urban R&B, Harlem, New Yorkâs Keith Sweat became one of the most popular R&B/soul producers, singers and songwriters of the late â80s and â90s. He sang in nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and signed with Elektra Records in 1987, releasing his debut solo studio album Make It Last Forever and selling three million copies with the smash single âI Want Her.â Sweatâs second album, 1990âs I'll Give All My Love to You hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and spawned the singlesâ Iâll Give All My Love to Youâ and âMake You Sweat.â He also put out the single â(There You Go) Tellin' Me No Againâ from the New Jack City soundtrack, and released his third album Keep It Cominâ in 1991, debuting in the top 20 and featuring the hits âKeep It Cominââ and âWhy Me Babyâ with LL Cool J. 1994âs Get Up and 1996âs self-titled album both reached the Billboard top ten, selling over a million copies each of sexy and soulful singles âNobodyâ and âTwisted.â In that late â90s and â00s, Sweat kept his fans moving with Still in the Game in 1998, Rebirth in 2002, Just Me in 2008, and his latest Til the Morning in 2011. After playing concerts in South America in late 2013, heâs embarking on a US tour in 2014 and launching the Sweat Hotel Cruise for ticket buyers in April 2014 for eight days through the Caribbean.
