Mack Avenue Superband Tickets

It was the first experience to Jose James talent . I was excited & inspired to purchase his music via CD. It was the first time my girlfriend came to the Disney Concert Hall. She was overwhelmed with the music as well. I am a supporter of Kirk & Christian beginning in the early 90's. It has been a while since I heard REAL JAZZ. I was expecting some vocals here & there. I must also include, the seats behind the stage(overview) were great. During previous concert I usually sit in the west view area. I drove from Inland Empire and my BFF from Cerritos, it was well worth the drive. We plan to attend more concert this year!

Jose and the musicians in his band were phenomenal and anything Christian mc bride is involved in is incredible!! Loved it all

If you like well rehearsed bands this wasn't the set for you. Falling in and out of breaks for soloist and endings was the norm instead of the exception. McBride on Bass was the standout. He tried holding things together but was challenged on many occasions. The drumming was brutally bad. He was unable to play accurately at the volume allowed Sands playing the piano was outstanding. He has a great deal to say and composes his improvisations very well. Gary Burton was disappointing on most songs. He wasn't rehearsed and missed chord changes multiple times. However when he got to his composition it was heaven.

I have not been to a Jazz concert before, but this concert was definitely a great experience. Anyone interested in watching very talented musicians and good music should come see this show!

Another amazing show with Christian McBride, Christian Sands and a bunch of other great performers I can't remember there names at the moment though anyway it was a really special night! Highly recommend checking out this truly appropriately named super band. I can't wait to see them again. Guys if you're reading this come back to Raleigh Durham area real soon!!
