    more fun than ya think

by SlipKid13 on 4/22/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I went as a date with my girl, who I had bought tickets for a Christmas gift. It was outside my comfort zone, but I went with an open mind. Having watched a couple of DWTS with her, I knew she liked this form of entertainment. Well, I did have a good time. The MC was supposed to be Allan Thicke, but for some reason he bowed out, and someone else filled in for him (forgot the name). He was witty and articulate. As was Katrina, who dazzled in her one performance. Her fellow judge, "oscar," was like watching a gymnist when he performed several times. He was amazing. The show on a whole was patterned after DWTS, and did a good job. It kept my interest, even though I am not the dancing enthusiast. The ladies outfits were hot. The dancing was truly amazing, and I am glad I went. The venue was comfortable and accomodating.

Dancing pros was an amazing show!

by Stemik2731 on 3/15/15Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Dancing pros was great. Awesome dancers who fit perfect with each other. I got to see one of my favorites from dancing with the stars, Chelsie Hightower. The energy of the dancers was amazing and they brought that out in the crowd. Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend others to go and see.

    nice show but...

by HotMama900 on 3/5/15Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

I felt the dancers did not have their hearts in the show. The first few dances were very out of sync but the individual dances were amazing. I was disappointed that Karina Smirnov was not there but was thrilled to see Edita Sliwinska. Alan Thicke was a good choice as host but he seemed a little drunk and not thrilled to be in the deep freeze that Buffalo was experiencing. Chelsea Hightower was great and I was more sympathetic when they announced she had been injured recently. The professional couples were fantastic, they gave a very beautiful show. I thought the voting was fun but I prefer not to have people encouraged to make as much noise as possible. I don't mind the occasional cheering but they were prompting everyone to keep a roar going. I love Edita but she can be hard to understand and it hampers things when those around me are shouting.

    Dance Competition was enjoyable

by dancingnut on 3/2/15Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

I am a fan of Dancing with the Stars and it was enjoyable to see quality dancing in person. The video of each contestant was a nice touch. It showed a more personable side of the dancers and learn how much work and practice it takes to perform at this high level.

Cheesy but some dancing was awesome.

by anonymous99999 on 3/2/15Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

The concept is fun for the audience to vote. Alan Thicke was an average host. He had a couple of fun jokes. LOL Even though all the pros were of championship dancing material, some did not have the charisma of other DWTS pros. I guess I was expecting more, but I wasn't wow'ed by some of the dancing.
