Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.
Great Concert . Chicago never disappoints. Still got it. Missed Robert Lamm though that night at the Venetian on March 9th.
There is nothing better than singing and dancing to the live music of Chicago ! They are always putting on the best performance ever. You can tell they enjoy it we enjoy it more and visa versa!!! Best concert ever
I've been a Chicago fan from the very beginning of their amazing long span of time. I honestly, didn't expect such a dynamic performance. We were thrilled with how well the musicians were in sync. The singer was excellent. He was really good at bringing the original sound back to life. It's very difficult for me to give a full 5 star review, so Chicago of 2024 take a bow you deserve it.
Count me as a long time fan of Chicago Transit Authority, or CTA, or Chicago. I have seen them here in Vegas every time they have appeared since I moved here in 2017. So, yes, you should see them. But a little part of me was disappointed that original song writer, keyboardist, and singer, Robert Lamm was not at this last show. There was no mention of him by the original brass of Jimmy Pankow and Lee Loughnane. I sure miss Lamm! The question is, was the music impacted by his absence? NO. Did I miss his voice? Yes. But then again, not everyone is as big a fan as I am, so you should take advantage of seeing Pankow and Laoghnane as long as you can!
Chicago was absolutely amazing, the seats were great, and the venue (The Venetian) is one of the best in Vegas!
What a Great Show, as Chicago sounds as good today as they did 50+ years ago!
The guys killed it Played everything I wanted to hear The solos where great
This was my 6th time seeing Chicago, and they continue to impress each time, and such a great venue at The Venetian. Chicago is a phenomenal performance with that big band sound without the big orchestra.
Got to check out Chicago at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas last week and what a great experience. The band was tight as ever and put on one heck of a show. Things started out a little slow with a few songs I didn't recognize, but when they started in one the hits, man they went to town! So many memories of classic tunes that artists just compare to nowadays. My only gripe was the 20 minutes intermission. It really broke up the flow of the show for me. But once they started up again, they got right back into the flow and rocked the house. If you get the chance, Chicago is definitely well worth checking out!
The show was very good and entertaining. Very disappointed that Robert Lamb was not there Neil Donnell did a very good job and the brass section was spot on like always. I really enjoyed the show, but was disappointed that Limb was not present since I have been a fan since the early 70s.
