    Lovely experience

    by BalletLover on 4/4/24

My daughter and I went to see this Ballet in MD a couple weeks before Christmas. It was our first time seeing the performance live, and we truly enjoyed it. We had balcony seats and the view was great! Now.... I must say that the theater was extremely crowded and it was very hot. The only down side to this were the kids behind us kicking the chairs. The couple next to us actually left because it was so bothersome. There were also a lot of sick kids, a lot of coughing and sneezing, a little crying but not much. I guess flu season was in full swing. Be prepared and wear a mask or take your chances with whatever is going around. I personally did not want to be sick for the holiday season. I would definitely see it again. Next time I will bring my granddaughter. I promise if we sit behind you, no chair kicking, lol.

    Disappointing

by Dee on 1/9/24Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St Petersburg

My husband and I left at the first intermission because we were so disappointed. I have always loved ballet and the beauty and complexity of it. This show seemed as if we were watching a middle school ballet. There was so much happening on stage and very little synchronization that it was pure chaos.

A fine show. Jewel tone colors and stage scenery back drops I wanted to take home with me.

Overall it was ok, first one I ever saw

by Jamie on 1/7/24Robinson Center - Little Rock

Was a little disappointed because I expected little kids in it and there wasn’t. It was a group from somewhere else. So I didn’t know that was what I was going to see. Bummer. I really wanted to see the little kids participating too.

    Great Show - Venue Disappointing

by Russ V on 1/5/24The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami Beach

The show itself was amazing. They had a great mixture of dance, song, and beautiful backgrounds. The only callout was the venue. The show had already started and at 30 to 45 minutes. They were still allowing people to walk in. This was a distraction as they were blocking our view of the stage. I would’ve assumed that they would require them to wait until intermission to go in. After 10 to 15 people bring brought down isles this became more than a slight distraction. It was a very difficult inconvenience that made me regret seeing it at that venue.

    Great and not so great

by KV on 1/3/24The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami Beach

The performance was beautiful the performers were great and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the show but the venue was lacking in so many ways. It was so cold in the theatre that we could barely handle staying for the entire show. During break I had to go outside to defrost. There was an odd man on the grounds on the way to the doors with a money bowl on the floor. The venue chairs in the front rows were uncomfortable similar to folding party chairs. The food options were gross do not go there hungry. Do not valet for $35! Parking garage close by we paid $8. The venue had very large yellow hoses all over the front lawn. It didn’t seem like we were going to a show we paid $300 for.

    Needed to be narrated.

by Mary on 1/3/24Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New Orleans

Needed to be narrated instead of just a paper program. My 7-year-old granddaughter told me that during the performance & I support that recommendation. Out of the mouth of babes.

    Magical

by Mary on 1/3/24The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El Paso

The ballet was amazing so magical, very talented ballet dancers! Enjoyed every minute of the show. The only down fall was that a lot of attendees were walking in late and blocking the view.

    Venue poorly managed

by Selizad on 1/3/24Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St Petersburg

The venue allowed people to enter throughout the entire show. People were still coming in and being seated an hour into the show. We were being walked in front of the entire time. It was so disturbing and distracting. Really disappointed in the venue. People should not be allowed to enter after a certain point.
