About

Hari Kondabolu is a Brooklyn-based, Queens-raised comic who has been described by Timeout NY as "smart, analytical and rising." The Seattle Times wrote that he was "a young man reaching for the hand-scalding torch of confrontational comics like Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor." Like his comedic heroes, Hari Kondabolu wants to speak truth to power with confrontational and personal material. Unlike them, he does not want to die of a morphine overdose or set himself on fire. null

When in New York City, he co-hosts the mostly improvised talk show The Untitled Kondabolu Brothers Project with his younger brother Ashok, aka "Dap" from hip hop group Das Racist. He also wrote the cover story for Spin Magazine about Das Racist last November.

    Hilarious!

by Chuckles on 12/22/22191 Toole - Tucson

Really great in this small venue. So glad he came to Tucson. Incorporated a lot of local humor and felt very extemporaneous at times. Didn't overdo the topical and ethnic stuff and it was very funny.

    Good vibez

by Mida on 5/31/22Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

I went out on my own, and was able to sit at the bar with no harassment (single woman) The staff were chill & the venue was sweet. I imaged a scummy crammed comedy club, but it wasn’t like that. Loved the warm up comedians - good quality people?! Hari K gave us a killer set, made me laugh a lot (this was a surprise because I didn’t know his content) and in such an intimate setting. Got the last ferry back to Oakland, perfect night. I’ll be returning for more comedy soon.

    Great Show

by Krusticles on 3/5/19Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Wow what an amazing night of comedy. The opening act Liz Miele, had a sharp and witty set. But Hari absolutely tore the house down!! I havent laughed that hard in public in years. He had the entire audience laughing in unison, a truly transcendence performance. I've already told all my friends to snatch up tickets any time they see his name coming to their city.

    Hilarious! Do. Not. Miss.

by MoebiusATG on 12/4/17Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

I've listened to Hari a few times on the podcast he does with W. Kamau Bell but his live stand up is sooooo much funnier. He is quick witted, funny, and topical. One of the best stand up shows I've been to. He pushed so much material into a set that lasted 1 hr and 15 mins that my face started to hurt halfway through from laughing.
